We decided to come to Snooze with another family after church. Knowing it would be busy, we got on the waitlist prior to arriving and the wait was almost an hour and a half. When we arrived we checked in at the front and the host was very friendly. We told him that we wanted to sit as close as possible together and he said he would see what he could do. There were 11 of us so we didn't necessarily think it was reasonable for us to sit at the same table. The other family's table was available first so they went inside and then came back out and grabbed our girls so the kids could get their food ordered while we waited for the second table. Our table was ready about 10 mins later and when we went inside there were 4 people at the host counter - two of the hosts, a manager, and another server. The server told us they would be with us in a minute and while we were standing there I could tell that the hostess, Taylor, wasn't happy about something. As we continued to stand there while the hostess was talking, I realized she was talking about our friends and how they had put 5 on the waitlist but there were 7 at the table. Our friends were standing up, not sitting down, and the hostess was saying that she didn't know what was going on, but she "wasn't going to deal with this...blah, blah, blah". It was evident to me, my husband and my mom (who were all standing there) that she had an attitude. At that point I stepped in and said that if there's an issue our kids can just sit with us at our table. At that point the hostess turned around and rolled her eyes and walked out with her tablet to go do something else. They were able to sit us right next to our friend's table and when I told them what was going on they said they had already spoken to the server and let him know that they were just ordering for the kids and the server didn't have a problem with it so they were surprised to hear the hostess was having an issue. Obviously, this did not start our visit off on the best note.
Our server was VERY friendly and offered great suggestions for food. One of my daughters ordered their pasta which was very good. My husband got the pineapple upside down pancakes which were amazing and didn't need any syrup. I am a huge fan of eggs benedict so if it's on a menu I'm going to try it. Based on Yelp reviews I decided to try the Barbacoa Chile Verde Benny and, unfortunately, I wasn't a fan. I should have read the ingredients more carefully because the eggs and barbacoa sat on a corn tortilla base instead of an English muffin which, may not have been so bad, but I don't like corn tortillas so that pretty much ruined it for me. The barbacoa, though, was very tasty. I've been to a number of Snooze's before and from a food perspective this one did not disappoint, but the kitchen was slow and we waited almost 45 mins before our food came out and we noticed some tables getting their food before ours. Once we mentioned something to our server, though, the food came out relatively quickly. I would say the only other disappointment during our visit was that the manager did not come over to apologize for our long food wait. I've been in Snooze's that were much busier than this one and didn't have to wait that long for food. Overall it was an okay visit, but I'll probably try the Snooze in Frisco before we'll come to...
Read moreWent for a family breakfast. Some of the reviews say wait can be long. Snooze is an appropriate name, fell asleep waiting for service. Our server said it was an unexpected Friday rush (back to school day?), however it definately effected the dining experience.
Took a while to get our initial contact with our server, then our beverages, so we had our orders ready to go. Looking thru the room, several tables were waiting uncomfortably to place their orders as well.
After the beverages and food order, coffee brought to the table in about ten minutes. House coffee tasted like roadside coffee, swill. Our food came out relatively quick, but it was not hot. It was served room temperature. Not something you want for biscuits (all broken up) and gravy. The avocado on one plate was hard as a rock. But the big keynote was the food didn't look nor taste freshly prepared. Like it was kept back under a heat lamp or pre done waiting to complete the entire order. Not sure what was going on there.
Couldn't make a comment to our server, because they didnt come back until it almost all consumed. Yes we ate it, it was over a $100.00 meal. Finally, "doing Ok" and an ask for coffee refills. Well, we're pretty much done here!
Sad part is, the food had nice taste profiles. Just what was wrong, the attentiveness, flow and presentstion of the dishes. I will say our server was nice, just the flow was waaay off.
While we were eating, two ladies were seated next to our table. They were brought menus and that was the last time they saw anyone!
They kept looking for some type of initial greeting, silverware, water glasses...SOMETHING! They kept looking at our table and after a while, I signed "35" as in the time it took to get our meal served. They got up and walked out, menues the only thing on their table. No silverware, never spoke to a soul.
Our server was apologizing for the excessive wait. Yet still not a good meal service that came with a full fare price. All in all, this was a three star dining experience (and that was pushing it).
A gentleman in shorts, tee shirt and open shirt was walking around. He brought some of the plates to our table. The manager? The Cook? Someone helping out? Who knows!
Bottom line, with the reviews we had high hopes being it was a weekday. Seemed like a cool place to dine and the food did have nice flavores. They just would have been more enjoyable with better service and attention to how it's plated. Food temperstures and presentation.
In a word: Miss.
Good morning guys. Glad you saw the review. It is pretty much stand alone on details. Just read up on the bitly link and honestly not interested in utilizing it....
Read moreI just got finished eating at snooze and eatery. I had ordered a Denver omelette with egg whites. The service suggested I add protein so I asked to add chicken sausage. My order came out and was missing the chicken sausage so they brought me chicken sausage on the side I also ordered an English muffin dry with jam And corn fries. Well done the home fries were not well done. I was mulling through trying to eat the omelette and I felt extremely nauseous. I went to the restroom and came back and found my half eaten food and my drink all gone from the table when I got back to the table, they said oh I’m sorry we didn’t see any personal effects I said, what do you think I would walk out and not pay. So they insisted to bring me a new meal. I said I didn’t need the coffee because the coffee was so strong nothing I could do could give it any flavor so they brought me water and I had asked for lemon, but I had to ask again for lemon Reid the omelette this time it was loaded with cheese and had a different type of sausage that were in big trucks. English muffin came out loaded with butter I had to ask for jam they did bring jam. I took one bite of the omelette and immediately felt nauseous. I rushed to the bathroom and tried to make it into the stop, which I did not so I ended up throwing up in the public Trashcan in the bathroom, how embarrassing as well as all over my clothing, I figured given their mistake. They were gonna at least do something with my bill. I had to wait 20 minutes to get food and then I didn’t even eat the food cause it was so horrible. Well I got a bill for $29. I will never be back to say the least I will never recommend this place to anybody. This was a horrible experience and it wasn’t even crowded. I hate leaving a negative for you, but people should know for an overpriced breakfast please. You should at least receive quality food not loaded with tons of cheese at the whole side of the omelette is like soft with cheese And especially when you learn them that you have kidney failure and have a problem and order specifically and you still get butter all over your food now my entire body has to suffer for for the next 24 hours. I’m in my car now already as I sit in front of the handicap parking space because I cannot leave. I have a sickness, cleanup bag in my hand. Totally...
