I’m new in Plano, and decided to go across the street to eat real quick. Esther took my order, she was so nice! I asked her what the difference between Fresh Kimchi & the Regular kimchi, and she explained it and let me try some before I made my final decision! That was above & beyond customer service from Esther!
Rachel came out from the back, and spoke to me as well, very funny & lovely lady~ The whole atmosphere of S’Hymn is calming, with pretty decor, & the hospitality is a 10!
I got the La Galbi, and asked for a slight modification with the rice and let them know I’d be totally okay with an up charge, and Esther checked with the chef, and they were able to accommodate me!
I was hoping the food matched their level of service……AND IT DID!! Very nice & generous portions. Food is delicious! I got it to go, and it tasted as if I ate it there. The beef was seasoned very well, the salad was fresh & tasty. The kimchi was crisp and fermented deliciously, just the right amount of spice. The rice I got was egg fried rice (up charge) and totally worth it! Rice was soft & flavorful~
Definitely will be going back as a regular customer to continue...
Read moreThis is the new restaurant that took over the spot that belonged to JC's Kitchen. They are still family/friend owned, but they also added some Korean fusion items and other dishes to give it more of a fine dining flair. I ordered the bulgogi tacos, their special kimchi burger (I may have remembered the actual name incorrectly), and I also ordered their kimchi fried rice which was phenomenal. Probably one of the best tasting kimchi fried rice I've had. They were very attentive and kept checking on me and asking if the food was to my liking. All in all, very excited to see a new option close by that I'm likely going to frequent. Definitely check...
Read moreWe just had the most amazing lunch at Taste of S’Hymn! We had the Golden Dumplings, the Spicy Pork Bulgogi, the Beef Bimbimbap and the Japchae noodles with chicken. If you are new to Korean cuisine, these dishes are a great place to start & they are expertly done at S’Hymn. We rounded out our meal with Strawberry Lemonades for our young adults, traditional rice soup which is a post meal digestive & a delicious dessert called Hotteak. The service was also great; attentive & informative without any of the rough patches that a restaurant soft opening usually has. We will definitely go back soon to explore the...
