It might get more stars, the food was okay. The service is appalling. Was there for service for four for more than an hour. Let's just keep it simple and avoid that restaurant go to a chain go to a bigger restaurant go somewhere where there's a sense of urgency. A lot of things were definitely out of order on this Saturday morning and unless you have absolutely positively nothing to do, and nowhere to go, go somewhere else.
The reason there's a picture of an empty table is... well there was no food. Another party that arrived after mine was served long before our order was even taken. Another group left because they hadn't been waited on either.
Finally there were some minor HACCP issues going on in the restaurant, and the picture in the mens bathroom shows there's no towels, no way to dry your hands, no alternative way to dry your hands and look at the hole in the ceiling. What kind of animals do you think that's from?
So some of the previous reviews may not be accurate or from locals who have been going there forever or folks who have absolutely nothing to do with their day. Maybe this is the only game in the neighborhood I'm not sure....
Read moreRandomly came here for breakfast after fasting for over 12 hours cause I had to do a pregnancy glucose test at the hospital in the area. First meal in over 12 hours was the Corned Beef Hash Trash Bowl with potatoes, scrambled eggs and a biscuit on the side. It was DELICIOUS! Sounds like a simple concept but I cook a lot at home and I was impressed by how each ingredient had it’s special touch. The eggs were perfectly cooked, not too dry, the corned beef hash had nice crispy edges, the potatoes were very nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection, the gravy was very tasty, not overly salty. Even the biscuit on the side with a little apple jelly was unlike any biscuit I’ve ever had, buttery and lightly toasted with a nice little crisp to it. My husband and I are foodies and we both really enjoyed our meals. Waitress was great too, very friendly and relaxed environment, food is cooked right in front of you, to order, and served hot and fresh. Definitely will come back again because I’ve unlocked a new...
Read moreWe were looking for somewhere to eat brunch, after escaping the East I-4 traffic on the way to Orlando, and this place popped up on Google Maps for food. We love non-chain restaurants, and boy was this a perfect choice. The girls were friendly when we came in, and it did take a minute to get menus, but it was busy in there, full of regulars. The atmosphere is like waffle house, but more homey.
My husband chose the chicken fried steak, and he was happy with it, and I had an omelet with home fries. My oldest had a patty melt, and my youngest did a basic breakfast. All of it was good, no complaints.
Note that soda comes in a bottle, no refills, but I had the peach tea. Also, the small orange juice is in a tiny bottle, obviously no refills, either. So if you do want an OJ, just know it's not much.
Other than that, I would love to go back for sure - on purpose! Maybe next time you are heading to a theme park or whatnot, and driving along I-4, take a (planned) detour to Anna's for...
