Warm Hospitality and Flavor That Hits Home.
Ole Tampa Cubans is everything you hope to find in a great local spot in the heart of Plant City—delicious, comforting food served by genuinely kind people, all in a space that’s clean and inviting.
From the moment I walked up, I was welcomed like family. The staff radiated that down-to-earth charm you only find in places where the food is made with love and pride. Their warmth really set the tone, and I immediately felt at ease.
Let’s talk about the food—because wow. The Cuban was a perfect balance of texture and taste: crisped just right on the outside, with tender pork, melty Swiss, and that zesty mustard-pickle combo that makes each bite sing. The rice and beans were packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. And the devil crab? Crispy, rich, and so satisfying.
What really stood out to me was how clean and cared for everything was. You can tell they take pride not only in their food but in every detail of the dining experience.
If you're passing through Plant City even within driving distance, this place is absolutely worth the stop. It’s the kind of spot that reminds you why supporting local is...

This place had always been clean and staff very friendly.
I ordered a large regular Cuban pressed and another honey butter pressed, 2 small deviled crabs (they had sold out of large deviled crabs) and a stuffed potato. The honey butter was nonexistent. I took a bite of my husband's sandwich and literally no different. I do believe they forgot it. Not a big deal since I wasn't charged extra, but it falls under quality control. The small deviled crabs had lots of crab meat abd not just all breading and were very tasty, but they are really small and more like appetizer size. I'd get them again. The potato appeared to be one of the standard frozen stuff potatoes from any one of hundreds of restaurants. Still tasty and reasonably priced.
The Cubans were not as good as I remember them to be. Sadly I'm no longer a fan of...
Read moreBasic eatery with no frills. Order at the counter and take a seat. Your food will be brought out to you. While I waited for my found a couple of older ladies who ordered their meal was still waiting when I got mine. They didn't order anything elaborate from what I remembered but they had waited long enough that the manager came out to apologize for taking so long. I got a Cuban sandwich and a crab roll. I had to specify that I didn't want lettuce and tomato. Those of you that know, know that those two things don't go on a genuine Cuban. I also had to ask that it be pressed. Overall the sandwich was large and filled with lots of meat. The crab roll was a bit on the small side but good nonetheless. I wish they served a different hot sauce with it, either Crystal or Cholula. It's a place that does serve up good food and their take on local favorites isn't going to deter me...
