Add 1-star because the food was delicious per Zaxby's usual. Now that the easy part is out of the way, this particular location's customer service was absolutely awful. I ordered ahead on the app and stood at the order counter for 20 minutes after promised pickup time while my food sat 10 feet away from me with my name on it the whole time. One employee walked into the lobby a couple times to get himself a drink from the fountain and kept his eyes down. The employee working drive-thru would make eye-contact several times and pretended I was not there. No acknowledgement that I am there or any kind of assurance anyone was coming to take care of me (who simply needed to be handed an already paid for order). It was like I was invisible except the few times I got a blank stare. It is not a good look to ignore customers who are literally standing around without a single word. While I am waiting, one angry customer walks-in wondering why they're still waiting for their drive-thru order for 20 minutes. The employee throws the food in the bag and barks, "We just got it." Another angry customer walks in saying his card was not returned and instead of a simple apology, the employee argues and tries to fault the customer. After all that, I'm still not greeted and I am just left staring at my bagged food getting cold. After the last two angry customers walk-out in frustration, someone else finally comes to the counter, greets me, and hands me my now cold sandwich. Read moreWorse experience I have ever had. I always go to zaxbys in Brandon and this was my first time at the location in plant city . The manager caused a huge scene because they messed up my order and I asked to just correct it by giving me a ranch to resolve the issue . He insisted I take out the ones wrong sauces myself. I explained that I’m sorry but I just left to Lowe’s next to the store and my hands are dirty so I don’t want to place my hand in the food since it’s covering the condiments. He insisted I do it. I said ok fine I’ll pay for it. I tried giving it to him but he just stared at me so I LIGHTLY TOSSED IT TO HIM. He watch it and started laughing. Told me to get out of his parking lot for acting like this. I literally did nothing. I’m not sure if it was my race or what happened for him to treat my mother and i this way. Read moreI would just like to state that I had placed a mobile order. Upon arrival I noticed that there was a line wrapped around the store and asked my son to go inside and pick up the order. The dining room was unfortunately closed. I called the store and asked them if they could bring out the food since it had been paid for online. She stated “I’m sorry ma’am the owner does not want employees walking outside due to COVID”. I assured her we all had mask on and asked her what the difference would be if we went through the drive-thru (same exposure). I’ve ordered online in the past weeks from other stores and they either have the lobby open for pick up or allow an employee to bring the food out. Now I am waiting in line for now over 30minutes. May I add that she said my order was ready, so now it’s sitting on a counter getting cold. We still have not even moved in this line. I am disappointed in the speed of service and decisions that have been made to not allow a customer to go inside and pick up an order or have someone bring it out when other companies are allowing it.
