Bring Back the Auto Half-Off, Please
I used to be a loyal fan of Sonic, especially thanks to the half-off drinks all day when ordering through the app. It was simple, automatic, and honestly one of the best perks of any fast food app out there. But now? That convenience is gone.
Instead of automatic discounts, they’ve replaced it with a single-use coupon system—and you can only use one per order. So if you're craving a drink and a snack, you have to choose which one you want a deal on. Not exactly a win for the customer.
The change makes the app feel less rewarding and more frustrating. What was once an easy decision—“Let’s swing by Sonic!”—now feels like a chore of checking fine print and figuring out what I can’t get a deal on.
The drinks are still good. The food is still Sonic. But removing one of the app’s best features takes away a lot of the value. Here’s hoping they listen to their regulars and bring the automatic half-off drinks back. Until then… I’ll be thinking twice...
Read moreI was on my way to Zaxbys when I drove by and saw a carhop on skates who just looked so friendly, professional, and beautiful, and I realized I no longer wanted Zaxby’s. She had lovely colored hair, tattoos, and face piercings, but if you were to judge a book by it’s cover and think that’d mean she wouldn’t be professional then you’d be sorely wrong. She walked me through the whole menu, explaining the cooking process and the nutrition facts on each item, she spoke of the menu with both knowledge and passion. She taught me the beauty of what Sonics drive thru really has to offer. I wish I would have had more money to tip this wonderful woman, I hope she is given the biggest raise you can give her without going bankrupt. Thank you Shaye, don’t stop...
Read moreSat waiting in stall 18 for 20 minutes and got no service. 2 cars came and went while we were waiting. I pulled around to the drive through and sat at the order sign for 5 minutes waiting on someone to say anything but the same there was no one. I called the store as I was leaving the parking lot and got told one of the stalls was having problems sending the comms to the receiver inside. Knowing this they didnt put a sign on the stall (how hard is it to take a sharpie and right on a napkin and slap it on the stall :/) nor the whole time we were there did they notice that our vehicle was in a spot that clearly they knew wasnt working. It's not like they were all that busy either....
