Horrible experience with Manager this morning. I am in area to attend a championship swim meet. I finished ordering online at 9:26am for a 9:55am pick up. My son had to warm down after his race and ran a bit behind as I received a text that my order was ready. I'm less than 2 miles from this Panera. When I got there, the to-go shelf was empty but the employees all seem to be doing something. I finally asked the girl behind the serving counter. She said something about waiting on my souffle but she would check. When she comes back she said it wasn't ready. I questioned it because as I showed her my text, which said my order was ready 13 minutes ago. I told her I was on a schedule and why I timed my pickup time. She apologized, said maybe they could replace it with something else or give a refund, and would ask the manager to come over. As I am standing and waiting, another lady comes over who I thought was the Manager but wasn't. The lady said there was a catering order so that was higher priority. The souffle was suppose to take another 20 minutes. I asked for a refund. She walks over to the Manager who was behind the register taking orders. I stand there, and she does not acknowledge me or anything. The line starts to get longer and longer. I waited for the customers to finish their order but I had to go so I politely asked if she could give my refund because of my wait, and since I had to go. Without looking at me, she walks away (to my surprise to the other register) and yells "$5.34" and motioned for me to come over. She asked if I paid in cash or credit. I told her I didn't bring my card in as I am used to just picking up my food and leaving. She tells me she can't do anything unless she cancels the whole order but there is a line, so I should just leave my receipt and she'll take care of it later. So I said here (giving her the rest of my order) and said cancel it. She said ok but I have to take care of the line first--like I would trust it to get done. What puzzles me is that she was the only cashier as there were plenty of other workers around and not managing. She said I would not be able to get a receipt even if she cancelled the order and did I want to watch her cancel it. I said yup, I do. She said out loud, "unbelievable!" She cancels my order in the back, and I told her I thought she was rude. I also told her they messed up my order and made me wait without so much as an apology and that's how she reacts. She said she didn't care I called her rude. So there I was almost 20 minutes after I got a text that my order was "ready" to find out that my order was "less priority" and ended up with no food and just a big waste of time and absolutely treated like an unwanted customer. That so called manager needs customer care training ASAP!!! Oh, and I did receive a confirmation email regarding the cancelled order, something she said I would not receive, almost immediately after...
Read moreI just left this Panera and after waiting for almost 30 minutes I still did not get my complete, correct order and was told that I could not get get a refund on what they did not provide for 7-10 days. No apology or any acknowledgement for the inconvenience of poor service. I took my 2 sons to Panera this morning for breakfast. No one was available at the entrance to take my order so after waiting for 5-7mins I used the Kiosk. I ordered a cinnamon roll and 2 breakfast sandwiches customized to bagels instead of the regular bread. After waiting in the pick-up area for about 5 mins, I walked back up front and asked a person in the bakery if I could get the cinnamon roll that I ordered. She confirmed my name and gave me the cinnamon roll. I went to the pick up area to continue waiting for my order to be ready. After waiting for 10 mins, the order was ready, with the wrong sandwiches. I informed the lady who gave me the sandwiches and she said ok. After about 2-3 minutes, I asked if they would be working on my sandwiches now or would my order have to go to the back of the waiting line. I had to take my sons to tutoring wanted tk be able to manage my time. She said that I would not have to go to the back of the line and that they would work on them now. About 5-7 more minutes passed before someone brought a bagel to the sandwhich making area. 5-7 mins later, the lady looked at me and said that she was half way finished with my order. 2-3 minutes passed before she looked at a coworker to ask about the other bagel for my other sandwich. She had not started to make it and did not even have the bread to make it. She said that it would take 2 minutes to make. At this point I asked for a refund on the sandwich that was not made as their inaccuracy and inefficiency had now frustrated me and made my son's late to tutoring. The manager was there and told me that I would get my refund back in 7-10 days. No apology. No acknowledgement of the poor service that had been received. Since no reciept was provided when ordering through the kiosk, I asked for a reciept or some type of documentation stating that I was due for a refund. He said that they do not provide that. This was my worst Panera experience. We are all human and we all make mistakes but the lack of acknowledgment, no apology, no refund for a product that I did not receive and the wasting of my time was...
Read morePossibly one of the worst experiences Iâve had when trying to simply order a to go order. I walked in early this morning after a long night shift and ordered breakfast which included (what was suppose to be ) a strawberry smoothie. The food was out promptly and things were going smoothly until it came time for someone to make my smoothie. Since it was early I figured it shouldnât be to busy but ordering this smoothie was the biggest regret of my life. I waited patiently for about 10 min until I asked how much longer it would be since I received the rest of my order. The girl told me it was the cashiers job to make it so I went and asked her about it she then went back to the original girl and had a small argument about who would make the smoothie , all this going on and Iâm just wanting to go home not even wanting this smoothie anymore. After their small quarrel i again was waiting for another 15 min before anyone even began making my drink and that was only after a different girl approached the cashier telling her to make it. But the cashier stood her ground I suppose because that girl then made me the most pathetic excuse of a smoothie with the top being not even close to being full. Also it was an INCORRECT STRAWBERRY BANANA smoothie . So not only did We sit for actually 30 minutes simply waiting on someone to make the smoothie it was the wrong flavor of smoothie and it had barely anything in it. All this going on and what seemed to be two managers ignoring the situation focusing on other tasks that didnât include managing their employees. Try to stay away unless your really hankering for...
