This place had ALOT of issues- will not return!
French onion soup had minimal flavor, shrimp cocktail was good (4 shrimp for $15, despite menu saying $14), side salad was underwhelming (would have chosen another side had we known it was so basic & small), ribs were good (yay), sirloin was chewy (but edible), both loaded baked potatoes were dried out (didn't taste fresh despite having a reservation when they opened), and filet mignon was tough & chewy. I LOVE steak and simply couldnt eat it. I ended up sending it back. After reading reviews (while there), I saw I wasn't the only one with issues (sort on most recent) I had regrets that I'd booked this place. Overall, meat wasn't good quality and/or cooked properly. I actually question if it was frozen and unthawed improperly. No manager came by to inquiry or apologize (which is what well run establishments do). However, Lee our server was pleasant, and did take it off the bill.
I thought this place would be a nicer place, boy was I wrong. Music did not fit (too loud and not the genre for what I thought was supposed to be a "nicer" place, bright lights, and paper condiment cups that literally collapsed (even alot of bars/grills use stainless/metal). This place had little class.
Despite our experience, the dessert was good. However, not made in house & there was no menu or prices available (server just told us what they were). I had put in the reservation we were celebrating a birthday, and it wasn't acknowledged. We were over the entire experience & side tracked by the disappointment, so didn't even say anything. :(
To be honest, not sure how this place stays in business. I assume they thrive off people passing through and staying at the hotel.
If you want a nice restaurant, I'd find something else (Texas Roadhouse is better). Sadly, this was a waste of money...
Read moreWe just had a wonderful dinner at Keller's. We did not have reservations, but on a Saturday evening, we were seated by the host, Amare, within 15 minutes. Our server, Hailey, was very pleasant and attentive throughout the meal. Even a manager, Matte, stopped and asked us how things were as we dined. The food was extremely good. I finished the vegetables, and I'm not a veggie person. (Well, not the peppers, Tim ate those.) Cudos to the chef!
I noticed that they still might be observing distancing for the seating of guests. That's alright by me, although not necessary. Whether they were trying to be safe, or short on staff (as some establishments are) is of no concern. We would have understood if we had been turned away for whatever reason, without reservations. We were just very glad to be able to enjoy our dinner.
I have to share this: I was able to see a bit of the kitchen from where I sat. I heard something hit the floor and turned to see a knife being set on a plate. Thinking the worst, when Hailey put the plate in front of me, I asked if the knife had been on the floor. She told me kindly that it was not and that the fallen knife was still on the floor. I apologized and thanked her. I watched as she picked up the knife from the floor. Priceless.
It was the first time we ate here and I wish I had taken a photo of my surf and turf, because it was lovely. I will next time, because I will surely be...
Read moreThough I haven't had the chance to even eat here yet...they are apparently so good they can turn business away. I called to make a reservation for Saturday night and the lady on the phone said she doesn't do reservations. She gave me a different number to call. I called 7 times over the course of the day and continued to get the voicemail for the VIP office. I left a message with my phone number 2 times. See....it isn't often that we have a baby sitter and a night off together and wanted to go out together. No one called back...so by 8 pm we tried calling the restaurant number again and spoke with another girl. We explained that we called several times and that no one would answer. The girl told us it was really slow but there was nothing she could do,"SORRY".... ! Is that really how you do business? Are you so exclusive that you can just turn people away? She couldn't have gotten a manager and just allowed us to come down. We ended up taking our business to Applebee's. Sad....we really did want to try...
