I got the chance to swing through Harley Corin’s again recently while catching an acoustic set from my long-time friend, Doug Brundies. This spot is a bit of a staple in Bettendorf — and for good reason.

The place is clean, well-priced, and posted in a prime location. It's surrounded by a string of other bars and shops, and just a stone’s throw from the Isle of Capri, making it a perfect jumping-off point or end-of-night hang. Whether you’re there for the music, a casual round, or just to see some familiar faces, the vibe holds up.

One of my favorite parts of Harley’s is the people — and if you’re lucky enough to run into Chelsie D, you’re in good hands. She’s one of the best bartenders (and humans) in the Quad Cities. If you spot her, tell her Jake says “hi.”

Walked across the tracks from the casino cause I was bored. Met Lisa, who just so happens to be a wonderful individual. Ordered the wings and she suggested a little kick since I like them hot. Wings on their face happened to be fantastic, but seeing as how I like tongue torchers, I inquired about flavors. She said they "were just breaded, but I like to add tobasco to my ranch." Sweet baby Jesus if that combo wasn't fantastic. Legitimately, best wings I've had in a minute, and better company...

Really cold beer, Live Music with no cover charge, friendly and attentive wait staff. Dude behind the bar was friendly and made sure we were well taken care of. The hot girl at the other end of the bar was running drinks and shots on a record pace. We will be back again for the atmosphere and...
