Disappointing Experience – Poor Service Despite Advance Planning We had booked and prepaid for a luncheon for 30 ladies, planned well in advance—over 6 weeks ahead. Naturally, one would expect the restaurant to be well-prepared for a large, confirmed group, especially on a Saturday weekend afternoon. Things started off promisingly with a refreshing welcome lemonade and delicious appetizers, and we thought we were in for a great experience. Unfortunately, it quickly went downhill from there. Despite having a large party, the restaurant was clearly understaffed. There were only three servers and one head waiter who did not seem engaged or helpful. The staff displayed poor listening skills, and we had to remind them multiple times just to serve the main course. The food was served incomplete, cold, and staggered in an extremely uncoordinated fashion. We were first served cold dal with rice and bread—and when we inquired about the remaining items we had ordered, the response was: “Eat the dal and rice and bread first.” Frankly, I was shocked. Since when is Indian food served like that? It’s a complete meal, not one course at a time like a tasting menu. The chicken biryani was a joke—one leg in a bowl of rice, and again, cold. Vegetarian dishes arrived toward the end, and when we asked about the paneer, we were told: “You are not vegetarians.” That response alone was enough to leave a bad taste—literally and figuratively. I generally avoid writing negative reviews, and I believe in giving businesses the benefit of the doubt. But for $70 per person, prepaid, and with ample time to plan, there is no excuse for such a disorganized and disrespectful experience. If a restaurant cannot properly staff a weekend lunch for 30 guests, then perhaps it’s time to reconsider their ability to host events. I cannot recommend this place. Save your money—definitely...
Read moreI recently visited AnTeRa for dinner and was very impressed with both the food and the service. Having dined at a similarly named restaurant in Hyderabad, I came in with high expectations—and I’m happy to say they did not disappoint.
For appetizers, we started with the Nalgonda Mutton Fry, which was perfectly spicy with juicy, well-cooked pieces of mutton. The Cauliflower Jugalbandi was a creative and flavorful pairing—spicy, tandoori-style cauliflower served alongside mildly creamy broccoli, which balanced the heat nicely.
In the mains, we tried the Veg Kofta Curry and the Pacchimirchi Kodi Pulao—both dishes were delicious and definitely worth recommending.
Service was excellent—5 stars. We placed our entire order at once, and everything arrived at the same time, well-coordinated. The manager even offered to remake and re-serve the mains piping hot after we finished the appetizers, which was a thoughtful touch.
One note: they are still in the process of stocking their bar, so the drink presentation might not be quite there yet. For instance, my Moscow Mule was served in a regular glass instead of the traditional copper mug. Not a big deal, but something to be aware of.
Overall, the food was outstanding, and the service is clearly on the right track. I’m definitely looking forward to visiting again to see how they...
Read moreI had lunch at Antera on May 25th and wanted to share my feedback: Starters: The starters tasted great. I especially appreciated the creative naming on the menu and the thoughtful food presentation—it made a strong first impression. Main Course (Curries): The curries were average in taste, and the portion sizes were notably small. Main Course (Mutton Pulao): The Mutton Pulao was flavorful, but again, the quantity was disappointing. For a dish like biryani, especially in an Indian restaurant, one would expect a serving size that could at least be shared between two people. Unfortunately, the portion served was not sufficient even for one. Service & Timing: This was the most disappointing aspect. Several items were served too late. For example, naan arrived after the curries were nearly finished, making it difficult to enjoy the meal properly. Vegetarian dishes were also delayed significantly, leaving some guests waiting while others had already started eating.
Overall, the service experience and portion sizes left a lot to be desired. While I do wish the team the best, I would not recommend this restaurant to friends or family based on this experience. I sincerely hope you take this feedback into account and work on improving portion sizes and...
