Imagine the worst possible scenario, now multiply by ten. That’s how bad these people are. And I am not talking about one or two - the place is worse than the DMV.
The nightmare began when I tried to call them and check on the email I got from them, and to make sure they have my file. I tried every combo of keys – they do not take calls unless you are a doctor. Out of choices I clicked on the “If you are from a doctor’s office…” just to get to a human being (of that later) – the “lady” who answered my call assured me they had all my details (blunt lie meant to get me off the phone).
From the outside the place looks nice – but my second warning light came on when I stepped in the wretched place – as depressing the DMV in Sacramento (which to me was the worse place I have had the displeasure of visiting). It does not looks like a modern doctor’s office, it looks like a prison reception.
The woman’s last name was Goodman (how ironic) – she pulls “my” chart, and I quickly found she had the wrong one (!!!). I gave her my driver’s license and insurance card and she found my actual chart and told me she had rectified the issue (lied to my face).
So the nurse (the only decent person in the wretched place) took me in checked my vitals and … nope she is looking at the wrong chart. She said she will fix it (I believe she did).
So I sat. And sat. one hour and fifteen minutes of waiting. Finally I go out and said “okay I am leaving”. The philipina woman in the reception (mind you after about fourth minutes I opened the door and she saw me sitting there for god knows how long, she Knew I was there) – looks me in the eye with an empty look and asked “would you like to book a follow-up visit?” (no one is home – this is what she was trained to say).
Behind her, half a dozen staff (doing what – I am not sure – at that point there were no patients in the waiting room). All these bad people have seen me sitting there for over an hour. No one batted an eye. Finally I asked the crowed in general “is it okay with you that I leave?” they all looked at me as if I was a talking cat.
So I left.
Worse possible scenario? Not really. I could have stayed and put my health and well-being in their hands. I could have been one of the older patients sitting there on wheelchairs, without a choice, helpless and voiceless, in their hands. All I lost was a day. I am sure the negligence, the blunt disregard of all human decency, and bad faith I have witnessed can...
Read moreI will never go to this emergency room again. Why? A huge oversight and diagnosis by the doctor. I came in for a wound on my foot, I had excruciating pain following ibuprofen 600 mg. As the doctor examed my foot, she confirm no tendon tear and that a few stiches or glue would fix me right up. Unfortunately, if she knew basic anatomy she would have looked a little further considering location of the cut and pain I was feeling even after medication. She seemed completely numb to my feedback to her, on the level of pain and even at one point minimized it (stating she would slap a Band-Aid and keept on walking). That night she suggested I glue rather than stitch my torn ski, as the level of pain I was feeling I may not handle stitches very well. A week following the ER visit I went to see my internal medicine then followed by, podiatrist, it turns out the glue never worked and I had a completely open wound for a matter of 6 to 7 days. Further she examined my toe reflexes to notice significant amount of weakness, she knew immediately something was wrong with my tendon and got me an MRI. Unfortunately I had a completely torn tendon confirmed by the MRI, I had no business driving or putting weight on my right leg over the week following my ER visit. This was completely unexpected and could have been diagnosed the night I went to the ER. I had to have extensive surgery to put my tendon back, unfortunately situation was not very good for me in that the injury was quite old, I had open wound and the tendon had grown apart. This all could have been avoided if the Dr would have paid more attention to the patient and concerns on the level of pain (even after administration of pain medication), and a simple reflex test to see if I can move my toe up and down. Unfortunately ER docs are the first to see patients in critical care and they need to spend the right time to do all the proper testing before minimizing...
Read moreTraumatic experience with labor and delivery team in Pleasanton location. If you are pregnant and planning on delivering at this hospital, I beg you stay away!!!! Couple of nurses were just rude and horrible throughout my 5 days in hospital. They kept me pushing for more Pitocin and to start an epidural. The push was never ending. The whole time I was there I felt I was rushed. Everyone wanted me to get over with labor and be out of the room. Mind you I was being induced and induction takes it's own time to labor. Things were worst already and I was pushed thru C-section by Dr Jennifer Adey when not needing one. She just lied to me to push me thru C-section! She knew any reasoning would not budge me for C-section. So she had to give me something to make me agree to C-section!! Putting someone thru surgery when not needing one to make more money? Worst worst hospital when it comes to patient care and needs. Two nurses that gave me a very hard time were Judy Feirfarek and Emily Wasson. If you have these nurses and doctor stay away from them. They do not like you asking questions, no explanation on anything. Traumatic t experience delivering baby and having my primary ob-gyn at Stanford. I filed complaint with Stanford Heath Care for the horrible experience, and they haven't reached out to me with the status of the complaint after 2 months of calling them multiple times!! I wish no other mom goes thru this traumatic experience that I have been thru. If you are delivering here, hire a doula/midwife who can make decisions based on what is really happening with the labor and not go with the doctor's lies to push you thru C-section surgery . I wonder what is Stanford's C-section to vaginal delivery ratio! I bet it's high.
Update: 9 months to my complaint at Stanford patient relations and multiple calls. Still no status or update on...
