Golden Chick — Restaurant in Pleasanton

Went here to get dinner the drive thru line was long so my daughter and I went inside we stood at the counter waiting for someone to say something or come to the register, I get they were busy so I was being patient so 10 min pass and still nobody then 15 min and they're obviously aware of our presence making eye contact but no one comes over then 20 min and a young man comes over but to come grab the phone and starts talking to what I assume is his girlfriend but says nothing to us and is walking back and forth in front of us and other employees have seen us by then so now we're about 25 min in and the young man has someone's order and Is still on the phone and starts walking out the door so my daughter and I decide to leave and of course no one says anything and the young man is in the hallway talking on the phone with someone's order hanging out there. Needless this was almost the worst customer service I've experienced and I'd just about reprimand every single one of them if I knew my store was being represented this way and I'd also like to mention the disgusting cleanliness of this place it was covered in flies, food, counters everything had flies which also led to our reasoning on leaving this place and won't be returning to this location.

I wrote this review a year ago and absolutely nothing has changed i finally went here again after all this time food still horrible the rolls under cooked and I found hair on them the chicken had orange substance on it and we did not order spicy so I have no idea what the H it was. You would think after all this time and all the horrible reviews someone would do something in regards to this disaster however..... And I did attempt to contact whoever tried to "fix" the first issue and radio silence so I'm assuming it's for show on...

Took forever to make chicken then didn’t hear us ordering they kept asking for us to repeat ourselves. Then made us pull up but then told us we didn’t pull around the restaurant the way they asked us. They never asked us to pull around they said to pull up. They messed up before but this was just annoying and I’m tired. The last time there was still feathers on my chicken and I tried to ignore and just stopped eating it but this topped it for me. Update 3/22/24 Rude people!!! I asked for a refund on the phone and they said they would. Got to the store my partner went in and showed them the hair that they said they didn’t see and that he made an excuse up. I then went in and told them if I see hair in my food I get sick and not eat anything after it happens. They said they can’t refund me and it is what it is. I got pissed and said oh ok so this food I paid for is going in the trash after y’all don’t have hair pieces on to keep ur hair out of the food. They just gave me ugly faces and I got more made and told them I’m gonna need to see someone higher than them because they can’t help. They slowly started on my refund and keep being rude while a line came in be hide me. I’m sorry but a refund shouldn’t be hard when I didn’t touch the food as soon as I seen it then put it back in the bag and tied it off. I lost all respect for this place they aren’t going to change and I don’t recommend...

Today is 2/10/25. I went through the drive thru window at around 8:30 pm. I got the 6 piece tender combo and when I got home I ate one tender and my son was eating his tender when he spit it out and started gagging. I then noticed the chicken tenders when the crust is pulled off had dark brown spots, upon me opening each tender seen the meat is old and not just not fresh but to the point where the chicken has changed colors almost going bad. This is ridiculous that these people are selling this rotten food to people and people like me are paying for crap. I called and called with no answer, I'm sure they know they served bad chicken. I'm disappointed that people don't even realize what they are eating but then again you would think after paying $19 for a combo that you wouldn't have to take the crust off to make sure you don't have a spoiled piece of chicken under all that crust. I'm embarrassed for golden chick, they seem to hire anyone these days. I wouldn't even serve this to my dogs. Don't let the crust fool you, pull it off and you'll see the dark spots on the white chicken tenders meaning it's old. I hope to get a response from management bc this is...
