I called and placed an order to take advantage of a $10 off deal. I am still at high risk for COVID so I can't dine in, which is why I called. I almost hung up when I called. I couldn't even understand the person who answered. All I caught was "Famous Dave's" and "order", I think. I wasn't even sure. I kept trying, however, hoping for the best. I barely understood the majority of the conversation. Please note that I believe there is now an answering service provided by an unknown foreign country, which is why the accent was so thick and barely intelligible. I am good with accents, but this call was difficult.
I asked for the $10 off deal. I made sure they knew about it. But somehow it never came off on our order! The employee he was talking to in restaurant blamed the phone operator for not taking the deal off. They did not rectify the problem nor offer any compensation. $10 is not chump change. $10 savings is why we chose Famous Dave's in the first place, and we were looking forward to it to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. Instead we ended up angry and disappointed.
Also, all of our corn bread of the side order was also dark brown and hard on top. They said they had to wait for it and it was a special order or something so they couldn't give us different ones.

Read moreThe day before Father’s Day I ordered a Father’s Day feast platter online and paid for it with a Gift/rebate card. The food order was for the next day. After I placed the order, I was not sure if the card had enough money on it. The app said the order was confirmed and a email confirmation was sent. Still, to be sure, I called the store to confirm. The person at the store said it was all good and confirmation was sent. Great. I asked my brother to pick the order up for me and told him it was all paid for. When he got to the store they told him there was a problem with the payment card and the order was canceled! How does this happen. Luckily, they were able to put my order together and my brother was able to pay the $140 bill. He arrived with the food about 15 minutes late. I had used a $10 off coupon for the first transactions and the store did not honor that because my brother had to re-order the food and did not have the App. The store had sent an email 28 minutes before the scheduled pickup stating the order was cancelled because of a problem with the card. This location seems more geared towards takeout, you order at the takeout counter and pay, then they bring your food to you. I didn't expect that, but that's not why I gave them only two stars. I needed booster seats, and those things were sooo disgustingly dirty that I had to get soap from the bathroom, and wet wipes from my bag and literally washed all three booster seats, when I was done th wipes were black I was disgusted, I probably should have left at this point, but my children were hungry and restless, I was trying to avoid a full meltdown so we stayed. They put cheese on both my burgers after I asked for no cheese, so we had to wait for them to be re-made.
