Tonight for my birthday I thought it would be great to go to the PPH as I've come here many times before and never had anything but excellent service. After Tonight they will NEVER get my business again. Rude and disrespectful doesn't even begin to to cover how the General Manager "Jon Seaback" was. Do you think this food is medium? Do you think its acceptable to pay full price for a birthday meal that is undercooked. The asparagus is raw and the prime rib is bleeding. The LAST thing you want to do is deal with rude customer service on your birthday and I will make sure I tell everyone I know that this place is definitely trash and the manager thinks is ok to cuss and swear at us in a restaurant full of people..?? DO NOT GO HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO COOK YOUR BIRTHDAY MEAL

Let me first say that it’s great to have a quality restaurant in Cedarville. Okay, the food: So I’ve ordered about a dozen times now. The pizza was nothing to brag about. But everything else I’ve ordered from here has been some of the tastiest, most delectable food I’ve had in a long time. I’m a clam chowder “snob” having lived on Cape Cod most of my life, and their chowder rivals some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Their buffalo wings and BBQ chicken tenders (the BBQ sauce especially) isn’t just “good,” it tastes amazing. Their burgers are delicious. Their loaded nachos are just that - loaded. And also delicious! What sets PPH apart for me though is the uniqueness of the taste of everything. I’ve never had chowder that tastes like this, never had BBQ sauce that tastes like this, etc. and by the time you’re in your mid 40s, it takes a lot for food to stand out to you, as by that time you’ve eaten a lot of food! There are little things that I could pick apart- pizza is a bit too greasy, the chicken can be a bit too tough sometimes- but these little things are nowhere near enough of a big deal for me to not give the food a STRONG 5 stars. So the service and the atmosphere both suffer from the same problem- around dinner time, this place is MOBBED. And I don’t just mean “busy,” I’m mean MOBBED. And that’s completely understandable given that the food is that good in a spot in town where there isn’t anything even close to the quality of PPH. As a DoorDash driver, I’m constantly in and out of here picking orders up, and when it’s busy, they’re often not ready on time, and sometimes by a good margin. And in the Covid era we live in, the waiting area is packed to the rafters with people. They do their best to accommodate with seats, but often the tiny waiting area is 20-30 people deep. And this is really my lone problem with PPH. And this problem is happening because this restaurant is just that damn good. The staff aren’t unkind or unknowledgeable or anything, they’re just absolutely swamped with things to do because of the volume of customers and orders, that sometimes it’s not the easiest to get someone’s attention. And sometimes some of them can get a bit agitated when being asked repeatedly where orders are. And I get it, it can’t not be stressful working there when it gets mobbed. But they’re going to have to both hire more staff soon, and/or make an addition to the waiting area, as the place continues to gain more and more customers, deservedly. In the end, the quality of the food completely trumps any atmosphere or service problems, which are completely derived from the fact that this is the best food in town, hands...

Last night, we finally ventured out to patronize our new local establishment. Here are our thoughts:

  1. overall, we thought PPH was no better than BBC.
  2. we would rather eat at Tavern on the Wharf than PPH, and they’re both owned by the same people.
  3. parking sucks. I saw empty tables and no place to park. We actually saw a couple park across the street and risk their lives crossing 3a. PPH is not worth your life.
  4. Never got a good look at the main room since we were seated in the back room. If you want to eat in the main room, ask the hostess. So we’re told.
  5. extensive and good menu. Did I tell you that parking sucks??
  6. round 1 of drinks were good but we never had a chance to request round 2. Drinks are where you make your money.
  7. Dinner 1 was fish and chips. Expecting normal deep fried, we got a breaded fish. Tasted good but disappointing. That’s not true fish and chips. Fries were a little over cooked.
  8. Dinner 2 was the statler chicken because it came with mashed potato. Imagine the disappointment when it arrived with fingerling instead. A couple different explanations were given to us. Eventually someone brought over a bowl of semi warm mashed. Oh, did I tell you that we could barely see the small piece of chicken thru the ton on green beans!! Pricey for a small dish.
  9. Dinner 3 was a burger and salad with a side of fries. A previous review mentioned the dry brioche bun. Yup, it’s true. Not sure why but they need to figure this out. The burger had a large piece of lettuce to make it look like the burger was larger than it was. The burger was ok, I have had better. The fries were ok. The salad was ok but they hardly give you any salad dressing. What a shame. I wanted to get more but see #6 above.
  10. overall, we’re glad there’s a new local option but given all options, it might be some time before we go back. We were hoping to give at least a rating of 4, but...

Take out has been decent. Smaller portions for the prices charged. Food tastes good regardless.

We went in on 7/27 around 7:30pm and sat at the bar. The bartender was extremely rude and not helpful. She never smiled nor did she try to interact with us beyond a “what do you want?” We were charged $18 (!!!) for a margarita with casamigos that did not taste very good nor did it have a rim or garnish. We are in Plymouth guys, not Mykonos… Other local bars/pubs charge between $12-15 for the same exact order.

Bartender asked if we wanted another round and we said no. She proceeded to repeat our drink order as if she was going to make another round of drinks and we repeated “no we don’t want another round”. She walked away.

Final straw was when the people next to us went through the same conversation with the same bartender. She brought over another round of drinks to those people and they said “oh no we didn’t want another round”. The bartender threw a fit, slamming the drinks she took back onto the counter and storming away from the bar pissed off. The people next to us felt so bad, asking if the bartender is upset and if they should apologize for the misunderstanding.

It was totally inappropriate for the bartender to act this way. Based on what we experienced between the pricing and the constant trying to feed customers drinks after saying “no,” this was an attempted cash grab by the bartender. Due to the bartender’s disturbing behavior and rude attitude, we are totally turned off to this place and won’t...
