I never post negative comments but today’s experience made me furious. I’ve spent thousands of dollars at this place over the years and consider myself a good customer always tipping generously to the hard working servers and the food has been consistently excellent. Last night my daughter had a couple teenage girlfriends stay overnight so I offered them my credit card to go to breakfast at the BBM. When they arrived they were told it would be a fifteen minute wait so the girls decided to wait in their car. When they returned 15 mins later they were told that they couldn’t be seated because they had brought in their half finished Dunkin ice coffees and that they hadn’t waited inside for their turn. They were rudely offered the opportunity to return the Dunkin drinks to the car and start the 15 minute wait over again where they must wait inside for their turn again. I’ve been there before, waited in the car because of the crowd and received a text to alert me. It sounds to me that this place is getting too big for its britches no?/:

Sunday morning breakfast run. Full house at 9am but only took a few minutes for a table to be finished and cleared. Everything was a generous portion, served hot without delay, tasted pretty darn good! Southern comfort - scrambled eggs, potatoes, link sausage, and biscuits with gravy. Nice gravy - had a bisque taste and texture. 2 pancakes with whipped cream and chocolate chips. Tasted nice - I stole a few bites. Fluffy and not too much chocolate. Eggs Benedict were fine as well according to my wife. Good enough to bring her leftovers home.

I have ordered food to go here a few times and today was my first time sitting down, and I was a bit underwhelmed. It was about 745am on a Saturday morning and there was only 3 other people eating, we ordered a grilled muffin and the cmhomemade corned beer hash. 22 minutes until we saw our food, and the hash and eggs had obviously been sitting out for a while as they were dried and not very hot. I can look past that but then there was a hair in my daughter's muffin. The younger staff there were very nice and always smiling whereas the not so younger staff which waited on me, seemed preoccupied or annoyed. The eggs and hash were mediocre at best, the muffins were delicious. I wont likely be sitting down here again. Good for a quick to go meal.

Edit (1 week later): I recieved a personal correspondence from the owner apologizing for and explaining reasons for some of my complaints. It shows alot when the owner cares about their business to investigate why customers were unhappy. It is obvious to me that my bad experience was a rarity and that these things are bound to happen even with the best of businesses. The grilled chocolate chip muffin with butter is straight from heaven also. This place is definitely...

Today, 9-6-19, my husband and I went in for breakfast. We love going here, the food is always good and plentiful and the service is outstanding, BUT NOT TODAY. Our server came over no good morning, how are you, nothing. Just coffee? We said yes and off she went. The rest of the time there another very nice server delivered our food gave us coffee, and the women next to us who also had Julia, got the same. Now I still thought maybe she's having a bad day. But she dropped off the check and no thank you just here you go. We put our charge card in and she took it again saying nothing, brought it back, again said here you go. Being in the restaurant business myself for 18 years, if I would have ever been like that I would have gotten nothing for a tip. Which is what I would have deserved. I still left her $3.00 in hope that it would send a message. Did it, dont know. What I really wanted to do was leave her nothing and give the women who actually took care of us (didnt catch her name) a huge tip for doing her job as well as Julia's. This will not stop us from going back, but I wont be sitting in her station again. Thank you...

Update 11/2024: I still enjoy going here for breakfast. My issue, which sadly is an issue at more restaurants than not, is the inconsistency of the food between takeout and eat-in. Eating in the food is delicious and looks like it was put together with care. If I do take out to bring it to eat at my favorite outdoor spot, the food is sometimes inedible. For example, the home fries, most times half or more, will be overcooked and hard/burnt. I will have things missing like the beans or salsa or the Hollandaise. My favorite menu item is the South of the Border if you can't tell. While I am only going 5 minutes to my spot, I should be able to trust the quality of food that is in my container without having to inspect it before I leave and let out the heat. So for now, I would say eat in the restaurant and don't do takeout unless you want to be disappointed.

Always love the chance to go here for breakfast! Food is delicious ( I miss the crab cakes though) and the service is outstanding! If you decide you love it too, then sign up for the...
