A top notch Brazilian steakhouse with an incredibly friendly and professional staff. The folks running this establishment are hospitable and kind. They always make it a memorable experience. It’s a fairly small crew and you can see that they’re working hard and care about what they do.
This is a rodizio style restaurant where it’s all you can eat with an extensive salad bar. You can opt to have just the salad bar if you have a vegetarian joining you for a meal. This restaurant is on average, not as expensive as what you might get at a chain restaurant and the food is frequently better than what you’d get there as well. They also offer a lunch option on Friday that is discounted by about $15 per person and they still offer a great selection of meats.
I’m not a drinker, but they have a massive drink menu and I’ve seen many unique concoctions departing the bar and I’ve seen how hard their bartenders work.
The salad bar is always stocked with fresh fruits and veggies. There are seasonal fruits such as mango, honeydew, and watermelon. They have a few hot items such as plantains that are always a treat. In the winter, you’ll frequently see clam chowder as well. I love the fresh hot peppers, but be warned, they don’t mess around in terms of heat. You’ll also find a bin with delicious pão de queijo (Brazilian cheese rolls) that are addictive and airy.
The main courses have all of the staples you would expect such as picanha (top sirloin), garlic steak, flank steak, ribeye, filet mignon, steak and cheese, lamb, pork tenderloin, garlic bread, chicken hearts. They do offer chicken wings and bacon wrapped chicken, but I don’t always go for those. They also bring out a fresh grilled pineapple which is always a nice way to round out all of the rich and hearty meats. They season it with cinnamon, grill it, and slice it fresh.
The desserts are decadent, rich, and satisfying. We’ve tried the churros, rice pudding, and the lava cake and they were all top notch. You won’t be disappointed in any of them, just be sure to pace yourself...
Read moreI used to be a loyal customer at this restaurant, visiting 2-3 times monthly before their renovation. The previous staff created an exceptional experience - the manager was outstanding and all servers were attentive, kind, and delivered genuine hospitality with remarkable attention to detail. When we heard about the renovation, we were excited to return and chose this place to celebrate a birthday as we usually do. The new interior looks beautiful and the aesthetic improvements are impressive. Unfortunately, the quality of service has drastically declined. The new servers and manager, especially the new man working as supervisor, were unprofessional and rude, creating an unwelcoming atmosphere that ruined what should have been a special celebration. The birthday celebration was particularly disappointing. We waited over 15 minutes for a simple birthday dessert with a candle, despite informing staff we had plans afterward. When we politely reminded them about our time constraint, they brought the dessert as a takeaway without any apology, which was shocking and inappropriate for a birthday celebration.Even more concerning was finding ants in one of our drinks. The supervisor simply replaced the drink without showing any empathy or concern for this serious hygiene issue. There was no apology or acknowledgment of the problem, demonstrating a complete lack of professionalism and customer care. It's truly disappointing to see a place we loved so much transform this way. While the physical renovation succeeded, the warm, attentive service that made this restaurant special has disappeared. Despite our long history with this establishment and its attractive new appearance, the poor service quality, hygiene issues, and lack of basic hospitality mean we won't be returning. What a shame - this restaurant was once our favorite place, but now serves as a reminder that excellent hospitality matters more than beautiful...
Read moreI don’t usually post things like this, but this really irritated me and floored me with how we were treated. My family and I went to Rios Brazilian restaurant in Plymouth tonight for dinner; arriving at about 7pm with a reservation. Throughout the entire time we were there, whenever we would ask for a specific item to be brought over, we would watch them walk past us with the item, go around us and either have to go back for more or come back with only a few left for a table of five. After about 45 minutes, we started getting asked if we were done and my mother pretty much had her plate taken from her as she still had her fork in her mouth. Then the server came over to ask us if we wanted to have any desert or coffee. We asked to look at the desert menu and about a minute later different server came back to tell us that they had "sold out of all of the deserts and the kitchen had closed for desert for the night". We were extremely confused how there could be no desert at all and we were brought the check. As we were in the middle of signing the check, another server came over to tell us that we needed to leave because they needed our table for another party. We have never been pushed out of a restaurant so rudely, kicked out of our RESERVED table. When we left the restaurant, it was not even 8pm yet. As we were walking out of the restaurant, we found people in a large party in the table behind ours staring at us; with a few others standing close by them; clearly waiting for our table. We actually heard them say something about "those are them; they're finally leaving".
This was extremely horrible service and we are so disappointed. We really enjoyed Rios before going there tonight but after the way we were treated we will...
