I am typically not a fan of chain restaurants, let alone chain pizza spots. However, due to slim pickings in the area, we opted for Domino's on a cold winter night. There was a special going on: Large 3 topping pizza for $7.99. I order that which was suppose to include Italian sausage, pepperoni, and half mushroom. After picking my pizza up, leaving a small tip and driving home I discovered a dry pizza with cheese only. I called back and spoke to one of the employees who showed no empathy whatsoever: "just bring it back." There was no "I apologize, if you would like to bring it back....". Any way, I obliged!
I should have known from just that experience this was about to get interesting. Keeping in mind it's 26 degrees outside, I get back in my car and drive to Domino's which seemed to be busy (guests in lobby). An employee who claims to to be the manager brings his miserable energy to the front and was very rude from the jump says "what's the problem." I explained I didn't get what I asked for and he said "well what did you order?" I asked him to look it up in the system. He stated that I received what I ordered online. I assured him that's not what I ordered and he begin to go back and forth with me. I explained I did not drive back up here with a pizza that's now cold just go back home with the same pizza. Additionally, i was told to bring the pizza back. This guy was not budging so I then asked for my money back! He goes further to say "next time order right online." I explained that I needed his name and that I was calling corporate. He said "that's fine and I am gonna put you in the system so you can never order with us again." I explained that I could care less, grabbed my refunded money and walked out. He was disgustingly rude and exuded 0 leadership as a manager. I was extremely embarrassed as others were present and will NEVER go there again, and you should do the same. He appears to be very unhappy with life and his position with...
Read moreI’m generally a very patient person, more often than not I’m probably more patient than I should be. I worked at a different domino’s in the same area for a good 8-9 month stretch of time and there for have been far more understanding of the various problems that can cause a delivery to be late or wrong, people underestimate what limited staffing + high demand can do.
That all being said, I’m just about at my wits end with this store. Unfortunately, it’s the one that delivers to us. The deliveries taking upwards of an hour is a frequent problem, regardless of time of day or day of week. The store doesn’t call even when they’re slow to inform you that a problem has occurred. They often forget to put the sauces on various items such as the speciality sandwiches, chicken, or pizza’s. I have called and gotten an attitude from the person who answered before I even had a chance to say “hello.” I generally only call when my order has taken over an hour and a half so it’s not like I’m making unreasonable phone calls. My extra pineapple pizza generally doesn’t have extra pineapple on it (remember I worked at a dominos, I know what extra is actually suppose to be). It is very rare for there to not be a problem when ordering at this store. I switched to ordering carry out from my store for a while and decided to give Tannersville another shot after a few months. This latest time I put in a timed order early as I had somewhere to be, they were still 40 mins late and the tracker was inaccurate.
Oh well, I’ll switch to getting pick up from the store I worked at...
Read moreWe ordered pizza from this Domino's location recently during a stay at Great Wolf Lodge down the road.
Listen. This is the best Domino's experience I've ever had in my life. I would rate this location higher if I could. We ordered through the mobile app and took advantage of the "2 or More $6.99/each" deal.
They clearly paid attention to the fact that they were delivering to Great Wolf Lodge went above and beyond for us. We were supplied with not only paper plates but also plastic, reusable cups at no additional charge, without being asked!
We'd ordered 3 medium pizzas, a 2-liter drink, and a 20-oz drink. We were amazed at how quickly the tracker reported that our order was ready, quality checked, and heading out their door.
The delivery driver gave me a great heads-up phone call on his way over so we could meet under the main entrance awning. Our interaction was brief but he was a super likable guy with a fantastic attitude. The pizza was excellent and had more toppings than we generally receive from locations near us at home!
Fantastic experience and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone staying at...
