Kiersten's Creations — Restaurant in Point Pleasant

I typically don’t like sharing negative reviews but I must say that I was disappointed with the service I got here. To be upfront, I called this shop just a week and a half before my son’s birthday party. Last minute…sure. But I (last minute) found pictures of cookies that were absolutely adorable and I figured I’d try to get them made and if no one could do it, it wasn’t a big deal. However, when I called Kiersten’s Creations, I was told they could be done! I was ecstatic. I placed my order over the phone and was asked a few questions and then was told to please send in my “inspo picture and any other specifications in an email”. So, that is what I did. [I have attached my email in the photos with the inspo picture and also in the photos is what I had received.] I sent the inspo photos, specifying that it was for a 3rd birthday (not a 1st like the photos), and also specified his name is Louie for the name cookies (not the names on the inspo picture) amongst a few other details. When I went to pick up the cookies, they opened the box to show me them and although they were cute, they had the INCORRECT names on the cookies. She used the names from the inspo picture and stated that she “looked it up on Google and they are the Lion King characters”. I said “oh ok, thanks” thinking that maybe those names were possibly part of the newer Lion king mini shows… but upon me getting into my car and googling, I could not find anything. I walked back in and simply asked if she could show me where she found that and she showed me a google search with names similar but completely differently spelled than the ones on the cookies. She was not incredibly apologetic but she DID offer a refund for those specific 6 cookies of the 2 dozen I ordered, and she did give me the couple extra cookies that she had, which I did accept the cookies but I did not let her refund me. The taste of these cookies was pretty good. Needless to say, but I am disappointed in the lack of attention to detail. Especially for something as important as the birthday boy’s name on birthday cookies that cost me...

Kiersten's Creations' dessert truck catered a large casual rehearsal dinner at our home and we could not be more pleased with the desserts and the service. We had numerous guests with multiple dietary restrictions and they were ecstatic that, not only was there scrumptious food they could eat, but they had abundant choices. Cookies (including gluten-free), brownies, ice cream sandwiches, specialty drinks, ice cream floats, ice cream sundaes and so much more. There were even desserts for those avoiding dairy and eggs. Our guests had so much fun sampling the desserts, what a buzz going through the crowd about the many choices. We had the pleasure of stopping in here on our way back from a wrestling event for my daughters. We figured that we would stop in and taste the different foods they have because our daughter is grabbing a sweet 16 in March. Well we just found our go to place for desserts. The place was packed and the staff handled everyone in a timely manner which was great. But the quality and taste of the food was outstanding.
