I knew I would be in Point Pleasant Sunday morning, and in need of a good breakfast. So, I decided to check online. After reading reviews of a few places, I decide to go to Klotz's, and I'm happy I did! When I got there shortly after 10 a.m., they were packed. Fortunately there was a small table available for me. Although they have a very nice, and extensive menu, I decided to go traditional and ordered the western omelet with home fries. The staff was very friendly and started me with coffee right away. The coffee was hot, just the way I like it, and came in a nice mug that made me feel right at home. It took a little while for my food to come out but it was well worth the wait (remember, they were packed!). The omelet was fluffy, just the way my mother taught me to make it, and had plenty of ham, peppers and onions. It may have been the best western omelet I've ever had! Well worth the wait. About the wait... the staff was in high gear and really on the ball. I believe they were attentive to all customers to make sure we all had what we needed. And that takes time. The owner, who was behind the grill, kept the orders coming out and made sure they were picked up promptly by the staff and delivered to tables nice and hot. So, the truth is, when you want excellent food, made to order, you may need to wait a few minutes. Based on my experience this morning I can highly recommend Klotz's Kitchen. I know I...
Read moreWorst experience I’ve ever had. Food was awful. My girlfriend and i ordered 3 dishes for breakfast. She has ordered kielbasa scrambled eggs and home fries. It seems like they barely put any of the kielbasa in the dish. I had a chicken spinach wrap with egg whites. Tasted like a microwave wrap served on a plate with nothing else. Also got a plater with bacon sausage eggs and pancakes. I ordered chocolate chip pancakes but instead got plain. I also ordered a coffee which waitress completely forgot about. Anyway they offered me 10 % off from the bill which i found very offensive, so i decided to pay my bill and leave without finishing my meal. It’s had to find a good breakfast place that offers you comfort good service and good food. Unfortunately people these days only care about money and no quality. Very disappointed I will never get breakfast...
Read moreI've lived in Point Pleasant for over 10 years and today was the first time I've eaten at Klotz's. To drive by the place you wouldn't think you are missing anything but you couldn't be more wrong. The pancakes are lite and fluffy with a vanilla-y sweetness. Each of our egg orders were cooked exactly to the temperature we specified(over easy and over medium) and very flavorful, I'm guessing due to a well seasoned griddle. The waiter was very attentive and made sure the orders for 3 toddlers came out right away, even without us asking. Our orders followed right after within 5-7 minutes of ordering. If your grandmother was still alive, this is how she'd make breakfast.
I was stuffed when we left but the french toast I saw on my way out makes me want to come back soon. Happy we finally tried this place 2 minutes...
