Great soft opening in a nice restaurant in the little town of Polk City, FL. The opening was very well attended, but the owners/ mgmt had planned ahead. Large group of well trained and coordinated staff efficiently and courteously took orders and relatively quickly provided everyone with their ordered food.
The restaurant itself is in a new building / plaza and everything was clean and bright.
Food was excellent, judging from my own experience and others' comments on site. I had the namesake Cuban Sandwich. I'm a Cuban appreciator, and this was one of the best I've had, out of hundreds.
Quality and taste was excellent. Real "Cuban" bread pressed with a quality press. Ham and cheese were good, but the slow-roasted pork, with a hint of mojo stole the show. The sauce, with relish and mild spices along with the usual mustard/ mayo combo was excellent.
Previously, I had stopped by and enjoyed a good expresso. My wife had a Cortado. I'm not a coffee connoisseur or coffee snob, so can't wax eloquently about the finer obscure character of coffee.
I've never met a cup of coffee I disliked. That includes canteen cup coffee in "the field", European, Arabic or Latin American coffees in their own countries of orign/manufacture. That said, I have had coffees that I liked much less than others. This cup was definitely in the top 10%- ish of like/ love category.
I'd definitely stop by just for a coffee pick me up if I was in the mood. I'd probably also end up picking a pastry or sandwich to go with it. They looked excellent.
The breakfast sandwiches can also be made with pressed Cuban bread alongside the other breads listed on the menu.
Great addition to our little community. Even if I didn't live here, I'd make a commute for their excellent food and service.
Well Done...

I cannot remember the coffee I first started with, but I remember talking to Jennifer and told her like I like sweet and I like energy and got one with a shot and I believe caramel in it. It was amazing. I never Because by the time I got back to Lakeland, it was gone. But following them online and I saw this blueberry drink and I’m not a big fan of blueberry, but I had to have it and this one was beyond Delicious and amazing. I must have sent it to ten people and explaining let do a date/get together for some good a#! coffee. I use to drink Drica coffee whenever I could find them and then they closed the business so I went back to Dunkin and Starbucks(so either you get good coffee or bad coffee I can never go two days in a row and get the same experience). But now I found my coffee home. Now time to explore and experience some of these sandwiches I keep seeing and the Cuban salad. I can already tell you I’ve had the guava pastry a few times and order to go but never makes it...
