El Terreyaki Grill — Restaurant in Pomona

I’ve visited this place 3 times and each time was BOMB! I have the chicken teriyaki burger and crazy fries, the Baja shrimp tacos, the queso birria tacos, and Carne asada (beef) fries… the portion of food is BIG.. its well worth the price.. even the burger is big and carne asada fries is ALOT.. I always have leftovers and have to finish my burger and fries the next day… everything is seasoned well (the only thing that could’ve been seasoned better was the queso birria tacos… I’m going to give them the benefit of doubt and maybe they forgot something because everything else is really good… the quesobirria wasn’t nasty but Im just comparing to another place) .. anywho the owners have good energy, the restaurant is clean.. it’s good vibes… and they have daily specials .. it’s a new establishment so def go support.. you will def get your...

We decided to check out this place for the first time because of its 4.9 rating. We got there around 6:30 pm, and the restaurant was pretty empty except for two other people who were just finishing with placing their order. We placed our order and then the came the wait. Ten minutes passed, then fifteen, and after twenty minutes or maybe even more (we lost count). When we finally got our food they didn't even apologize for how long it took. We were hoping the wait would be worth it, but unfortunately, it wasn't. The food arrived cold – not even lukewarm – which was a major letdown after waiting for so long. Although it tasted alright, the combination of the long wait and cold food left us feeling pretty disappointed. We thought about saying something, but it was already past 7 pm, and we didn't want to wait...

I rarely ever eat fast food, but I walk past this place a lot with my dog and always see people coming and going. I finally decided to try it and was thoroughly surprised! I ordered the chicken bowl, sopes de asada, and tacos de asada because I wanted to try multiple menu items. The meat was fresh, tender, juicy, and well seasoned, but not over-seasoned like you would expect for most fast food joints. The rice and veggies were cooked perfectly and not mushy.

The service was immaculate! The cashier was very nice, attentive, and accommodating. The wait time was a little long, but I didn't mind because the food came out hot and fresh so I know for a fact that none of it was reheated.

The dining area was very clean...
