Rally's — Restaurant in Pomona

Most of the staff was friendly & helpful. The female handling the front counter & drive-thru & the male in the kitchen were helpful & friendly. However, the young male was another story. The female took our order & gave it to us when they were ready, but she forgot to give us our sauces for our 2 T-Pain meals. We ordered 2 T-PAIN meals under one bill. I asked the young guy at the counter for my sauces & he wanted to charge me for both of them. I told him the meal comes with a sauce. Then he said that I was right & continued to try to charge me. He seemed lost & confused during the whole interaction. I was initially asking for 3 sauces, but said I'll just take my 2 free sauces that are supposed to come with my meal. He was still trying to charge me 50 cents. He said that it is 1 sauce per person. I pointed out that I purchased 2 meals, 1 for each person. He said that it was actually only 1 sauce per bill. I pointed out how ridiculous that would be. He put the 3 sauces on the counter & said that he could give me 1 sauce. I took 2 & walked to my table so we could finally eat our meals. I went back to the counter for a refill, thinking that I would probably have another issue with the young male. No one was at the counter, but the guy from the kitchen looked towards the back & then quickly came out to help me. After refilling my drinks, he quickly went back to the kitchen.

The nuggest were a bit dry & a bit bland. Burgers & fries were delicious.

We got there on Friday, about 3:30PM. The doors were wide open with no one around. No air-conditioning. Ugh. I was ready to leave, but my husband wanted to try the new place. We went to the counter to order, but no one was around. After a few minutes, a lady came out. She said the AC had been out for 3 days in this triple-digit heat wave. She took our order to eat in. We waited quite a while for our food, considering we were the only people in there. A guy came out with our food in a bag. This seemed unusual since we ordered to eat in. We had had to remind him that we ordered drinks. We didn't have anything to put our food on, so I asked if they had placemats or something we could use to put the catsup on for our fries. He said, "No, just use your napkin or put it on the fries" What a mess. The Napkin just disintegrated and the catsup ended up going through to the table. Yuck. The fries were actually good and hot. The burger didn't seem as hot as it should have been if they made it to order. It was luke warm. Maybe the meat had been pre-cooked and popped on the grill to warm up a little? Or maybe they finished making the burgers, then made the fries. It didn't seem like they were hot off the grill. We went there because we got coupons, and we thought we'd try this new place. 3rd time here and it's time for a review because this visit was anything but a charm. Food is good, not unlike Carl's jr, problem is the service mostly and atmosphere. It took almost 10 minutes for a cashier to come out to the register, mind you, this was a Sunday afternoon and only 1 other patron in the restaurant. That was ridiculous. They got 75% of my order wrong. Asked for 2 kids "plain" cheeseburgers and they were not plain even though she repeated my order back to me and noted it on the ticket. Ordered the champ for the wife and received some bbq monstrosity. Food did come out quick this time, even though it was incorrect. Previous 2 experiences not so quick. Dinning room is pleasant but the outside atmosphere is going to kill this business. Homeless and drug users loitering the parking lot and lawn lending to an overall unpleasant experience. Wont...
