Kids Empire Pomona — Attraction in Pomona

I booked a party online for 12/02/23 at Kids Empire Pomona. The kid's meal package we booked stated that pizza was included. We had to pay a $150.00 deposit to secure the time slot.

On 11/27/23, Kids Empire Pomona contacted me and stated there was no pizza vendor available and that we would have to purchase on our own elsewhere and bring it in. Kids Empire offered me only a $3 discount per child but will still charge the full price for extra adults. Why would we have to pay full price on a package that was supposed to include pizza for our guests if they can't supply the pizza? I asked if I can get an additional discount because with no pizza that would bring the package down to the kids snack package which is $10 cheaper than the kids meal package per child. Pizza is the only difference between the $29.90 and $39.90 packages.

I've spoken to two supervisors (Cynthia and Mary) on about the situation and they stated it was out of their hands and to contact their corporate office BUT they would offer a refund on the deposit. The corporate office does not have a phone number and can only be contacted by email. After 72 hours, we finally received an email back from Kids Empire stating that they would not give us our deposit back. Nowhere on the website did it state "No Pizza Vendor Available". I booked and paid a deposit for a party that should include pizza. If the website stated there was no pizza available as part of the kid's meal package, I would have not booked. I stopped receiving responses from corporate.

This is misleading since the service is not being provided as advertised. I was denied a refund on my deposit and given a response that Kids Empire will use this situation as a learning experience to improve their services. This is unacceptable. They cannot use this as a learning experience at my expense. They cannot keep my money because they cannot provide the service as advertised.

I booked a party for the Pomona Ca. Location on 4/27/24, for 11 kids and 11 adults,at 10:30am when i arrived at the venue the party was not set up because they forgot to set up my party, so I waited for them till 11am to set up, When they brought out the pizza it was 3 cheese pizzas which I did not agree on, i had specified I wanted 3 pepperoni, they then proceeded too Re order the 3 pizza's and told me I could keep the cheese pizzas, but at some point the party leader took the cheese pizzas, at 12 I requested an update on the 3 pepperoni pizzas and they said it would take an hour, then at 1pm I asked again and they said it’d be another hour, by 2pm i asked one more time but then decided I would just ask for a refund but they tried to give me the cheese pizzas back, and didn’t check the inside of the boxes , one was missing a whole pizza and the other box was half eaten by the staff. Also my son was never given the game card, which they said they would give him, everything was very unprofessional, this was not a party package whatsoever i would’ve much rather pay 10 admissions, each child 17.99 and host it on my own like i did, than pay $39 dollars each child, have a horrible experience and with no party package. I’m not trying to get a full refund but i would like to pay for 10 child admissions than for a party package that wasn’t delivered.
