Unlike some ads and descriptions portray, the Stardust does NOT have kitchenettes. I believe all the rooms have mini fridges, but it's hit and miss if you want a microwave. It's an older property and there were some cosmetic issues (holes in the bathroom door and in the wall behind the knob). There were no usable electrical outlets on three of the four walls, which made things like using our smartphones while charging an impossibility. It was very inconvenient. Our bathroom light didn't work and the fixture leaked water from the upstairs shower the first night we were there (I recorded it on my phone, but Google won't let me post the video), but they had no more rooms with two beds and ended up switching us rooms the next day. I also found the smoke detector from the first room in the nightstand drawer with no battery in it. I asked for a discount on the first night's stay and was given $5. Better than nothing I guess. At least the clerk was friendly.
The room we stayed in our second and third nights was better (there was actually an electrical outlet behind the bed) and included a microwave. The beds were comfortable and it was pretty quiet outside both day and night. I didn't see a single bug in either room, which is always appreciated. Direct TV was awesome, but the Wi-Fi network was unusable.
Overall I guess I would stay at the Stardust Motel again if I needed to, but at $85 a night for a room with two beds, there are better...
Read moreJust plain nasty. Everything was old dirty and disgusting. The tub hadn't been cleaned...there was used soap from the last person in there. I dumped a load then waited for the water at the sink to get hot so I could wash my hands...it never did. I was wondering if I should go back to the office and ask for my money back, then I turned on the TV and there was sound but no picture. So I did ask for a better room with a working TV and the man at the office said he didn't have any others. I asked for my money back and he didn't give me any trouble. He reversed the charge on my card. Then I walked away from the counter without my credit card and got in my truck. The guy came running out with bare feet in the rain to give it back to me before i pulled away. So really nice guy but the rooms are pretty gross. Not worth $70. It looks like there is two buildings to this motel so maybe the newer one accounts for all the positive reviews but the older...
Read moreWeve been here for almost a week and they would have received 5 stars from us....but the i think that the maid could be doing a better job and cleaning and preparing the rooms for each new guest....overall yes it was somewat clean....but when u have a small establishment like this one and basically the maid really doesnt have a overload of work to do on a daily basis, you can tell she has more than enough time daily to thoroughly clean. And its the simple things that i pay attention when i remt a room. The vacumming could be done alot better, dusting n wiping down surface areas, having spots of mildew on shower curtin or lime build up in shower shouldnt be seen. The maid is doing thrle job she needs to be doing, and management should pay attention go her duties on a daily basis, because i wouldnt give someone a pay check each week, if she work as bad as she...Give me a broom, ill show u the...
