We did two of Quest Taverns escape rooms back to back and both are now my top favorites! I would like to highlight QT for their customer service. Nico and Diego went above and beyond to make this night a core memory. We were having a rough week and Nico was able to accommodate a scheduling request to do both The Bridge Between and The Last Supper. Nico was super sweet and we enjoyed our time with her the entire night. We loved her storytelling before she escorted us into each room. We appreciate their transparency for informing us about an item that wasn't operating properly - it also wasn't a big issue when we got to it. The Bridge Between was an amazing journey. The set design's production value evoked this fantasy world. We were in awe when we first walked in (same with the lobby). The room was mostly non-linear and most puzzles were layered with clues. The difficulty level would depend on how many rooms you've done. This room is puzzle heavy so make sure you have a good group to experience it with. I think it might be too much for 2-3 people but not impossible. We had an amazing time with The Bridge Between! The second room we did was The Last Supper. Make this room your priority!!! It is a different breed of escape rooms. It's theatrical and your participation is highly encouraged to push the storytelling forward. Diego was unbelievable with his role as Lord Garrick. He kept us on edge the entire time, stirring our creative juices. There was a lot of suspense and buildup while solving puzzles (which were linear) and there were moments that had us screaming and running back to our seats. The momentum at the end really elevated the finale - our hearts were pounding, we were screaming and yelling (including Diego!), and the room was raging! This experience put our emotions on a roller coaster. We had so much fun - I can't stop thinking about it. I'll definitely come back and bring new dinner guests to Lord Garrick's Last Supper!! Standing ovation for Nico...
Read moreWe visited Quest Tavern for a birthday weekend and had a blast!
Both rooms, Witches Cauldron and The Last Supper were so much fun! Excellent theming, story, puzzle flow and overall set decoration were all on point!
The Last Supper is one of the best rooms we've done. And having done over 150 rooms around the world, this is extremely high praise. The combination of the immersive environment mixed with a live actor was simply divine. And we loved the various puzzles, some of which we've never seen before in a room. Just a super fun experience! Really well done!
Kudos to the live actor who played Lord Garrick... while they were working off a loose script, they of course have to improv with the group that are doing the room. If they don't have a good group to riff with, it'll be that much more difficult for the actor. Luckily for us, we're a super energetic, fun bunch and the actor had lots of opportunities to move the story along. He was quick witted, funny, attentive and did an awesome job within our game. (So was his "assistant" for that matter--both were really good!).
Also, since this was a birthday weekend, I would like to thank the folks at Quest Tavern for going above and beyond to make the rooms extra special for us. They created a special storyline for our birthday girl within the room, which culminated in a special surprise for her and the rest of our group. This level of commitment and attention to detail was unexpected and such a wonderful treat! It turned what was already a fun experience into a memorable one.
The staff here are amazing escape room enthusiasts. It shows in their rooms and their customer service. We can't wait to come back and do their 3rd room once it's open for business.
Covid has hit the escape room community very hard and Quest Tavern was simply incredible. They deserve our business. What are you waiting for? Go book an...
Read moreThree of us did the Last Supper, and WOW! I've done over 40 rooms and this has to rank in my top 5 for sure ! GO. It will be worth the drive and every penny. I was both super relieved to escape, and sad it was finished. I'll get to the fantastic Lord Garrick in a bit, but we'll start with the production. The set design was perfect for three reasons - it was was very straight forward with almost no excess clutter, you weren't misled by a gaggle of annoying red herrings, and it was perfectly medieval and totally immersive. I felt like I an unwitting guest in the dining room of a demon-possessed, cannibalistic, medieval lord.
Once you've done as many rooms as I have, it's not often you get in that heart-racing panic to get out, but this room thrilled me, stressed me out, and delighted me in all the best ways possible. The puzzles weren't frustrating or terribly hard, but the stress factor can make your mind go blank. We asked for two hints - one in the very beginning which we definitely needed and one towards the end - and escaped with less than 2 minutes, so if you get stuck, don't sit there. Ask for help! The game master wants you to get out, too!
Lord Garrick, Lord Garrick, Lord Garrick - if it weren't for the pandemic, I would have hugged both the actor and the game master when it was over for making this experience so fantastic. He was so intimidating, and while his voice was deeply melodious, authoritative and lordly, his persona was subtly menacing and you knew at any moment that he would snap.
This is a room you can go to multiple times because the second time around, they will let you be part of the game while your friends suffer through it. I absolutely plan on going back! Well done,...
