Been a customer of this business for years. From when they first opened and owned the Annie’s in Coral Springs and then now when they’ve come back and opened Anne Marie’s. When you first opened Anne Marie’s in Coconut Creek your food was AMAZING. No one could match your quality or the taste. As expected once you open more restaurants and become busier you lose a little quality and service here and there. I always give the benefit of the doubt and never give a review based on one bad experience. BUT after several bad experiences it seems like the right time to express my frustration with you. After closing down your Coconut Creek location and only having Margate and Pompano to order from, I began to order from the Margate location. I ordered from Margate 10-20xs and almost every time there was an issue. The last issue I had with them was placing a very basic order for a Sicilian pizza with onion and pineapple. That pizza came with every topping on it and was over cooked. After calling the Margate location to express my disappointment I was told it was lost in communication and all I was offered was an apology. Fast forward to last night 12/15/23 at the Pompano location. I live in Coral Springs and have traveled to the pompano location several times since Margate could never get it right and have since been sold to another owner. I’ve had several visits to the Pompano location and almost every visit was perfect. The wings are always spot on, service is decent even though it’s never usually more than 4-6 tables of people. Last night I went in hopes to have another great experience and meal. Talk about disappointment! I placed a dine in order for wings and a Sicilian pizza with onions and pineapple. The waitress that took the order even repeated the toppings and stated, “just those 2 toppings?” I said correct. 30 minutes later the pizza comes out and once again I receive a supreme Sicilian with every topping. I advised the waitress this wasn’t our pizza and she took it back to the kitchen (which we were sitting right next to and could hear the entire conversation). The waitress proceeded to inform the cook that she did indeed mess the order up and entered it as a supreme pizza. What happened next was mind blowing. Instead of deciding to cook a new pizza and owning the mistake a female worker which I'm assuming was the manager on duty that night, came to the front and told the cook and waitress “scrape the toppings off and just put the toppings that they asked for on”. I was appalled that this was even thought of. Your job as a restaurant is to provide service and quality for paying customers. Your resolution to the problem that was created by your restaurant was to “scrape the wrong toppings and cheese off” and put the “original asked for toppings on?!?!?”. I then expressed my frustration with the waitress and informed her I want a new pizza, not the scraped incorrect version. The waitress assured me that a new pizza was being made. Like I stated above, we were sitting directly next to the kitchen and could see everything going on. The cook and manager were scraping the toppings off and replaced them with the correct toppings, more sauce and more cheese. The pizza was then place back in the oven to cook. The pizza was then brought to our table and the waitress was extremely apologetic. When I looked at the pizza, it was obvious that it was the same pizza with the correct toppings. This time the pizza was overcooked on the sides “since it was reheated” and the toppings weren’t even cooked and cheese was 1/4 of the way melted. Onions were cold, pineapple was cold. Instead of sending the pizza back and causing more issues and wasting time, we ate a couple slices and had them throw the rest away. This was by far the most unacceptable option that your restaurant decided to choose in order to resolve an issue. This left a bad taste in my mouth and to be honest I will never come back to your restaurant. You as the owner were not there because if this was the case I would’ve seen you. We witnessed the toppings...
Read moreI ordered ONE XL cheese pizza. I spent $30 for the pizza, delivery and tip. I live literally 5 minutes from this location and would have picked the pizza up myself, but my car is sitting outside my house on a jack right now because my tire is flat. I placed this order online at 5:56, estimated delivery time said 6:56 which I felt was a little crazy of a wait time for just one pizza, but had no choice as I had already paid at that point. I called “Slice” at 7:10 and was told it’d be delivered in about 10-15 minutes. It’s currently 7:35 and I had to call the restaurant directly, was placed on hold MULTIPLE times, after calling back to back they took my call. I explained that I don’t mean to be rude and I understand they’re probably busy as I had been placed on hold multiple times, but that it had been an hour and a half and $30 is a lot for one cheese pizza that’s literally 5 minutes from me. I explained to the employee I could have WALKED there and picked the pizza up and still would’ve gotten it faster. She says there’s an issue with their integration app and she’s been trying to get on the phone with them but it’s after hours. I requested a refund and was told that the pizza just came out fresh and will be here in 10-15 minutes. 1.) why wasn’t I contacted by anyone about this issue? 2.) why is this even an option if your delivery options are not efficient? 3.) after requesting a refund, she just apologized and told me it’d be here in 10-15 minutes. I literally said $30 is a WHOLE lot for ONE pizza that I could have walked and picked up. So? At this point, I’m pissed off? Like I’m writing this review and it’s 7:45 in the evening, and the pizza JUST got here. At this point it’s been 2 hours lol. And I paid extra for garlic Parmesan crust, and it’s not even on the pizza, and the pizza looks like a greasy oily mess. See the photo attached. Be for real? And I like this place, I order from here often, I’ve eaten here with my boyfriend, but after today I think I’m good with never ordering from here again. From the wait to the way the situation was handled, absolutely insane. I’d like my money back. Thanks
Update: Almost a year later, I’ve never returned, never been contacted by the restaurant and was never refunded. What a joke.
Response to the owner: That’s a lie because this review was originally posted 11months ago. I don’t want free food from you, I refuse to return to your restaurant. Lol. That paper is definitely yours. Stop lying and just own up for your poor business decisions. I should’ve been contacted 11months ago, you’ve only just responded because I...
Read moreMy family and I have been purchasing from this restaurant for almost 7 years now, both the margate location and this new location when they opened up around 3 years ago. Tonight I have experienced the absolute worst service and treatment as a customer. Kerry, is an awful server and employee. She did not listen or communicate effectively or even in a respectful manner when ordering the food. When we reached location we were upchanged for the weekly special. Which wasn't the problem but when I was told the price and the option given for a special I have purchased countless times on Wednesday nights, was not equivalent to the deal. Then I was rudely told, I can either have the topping or have the garlic rolls in the special, or pay 2.50 for the topping. The $2.50 wasn't the issue, even tho that had never been the case previously. But it's the fact that Kerry swore she explained this (she did not) despite me being on the phone with the person who took the order that she stated this. When the individual who placed the order came in she began denying that we called the correct number and the same individual had called and spoke to the manager who is a red head, before placing the order later on, who never specified this. Kerry began denying that we spoke to anyone else and that it was the wrong number. Then proceeded to tell us to leave, and she even went as far as to say she was going to call the police. When the manager finally came after multiple employees telling Kerry to step away, (she further engaged), she still didn't stop. The manager was obviously high as she smelled like she was just smoking weed, and couldn't handle the situation. We left, and denied their offers to take the meal. This used to be a great spot with great service, but after tonight I would advise any and everyone to stay away. This will be brought to the better business bureau, and local food outlets. Highly...
