Chicken Box & More

Excellent wings, pork chops, okra and macaroni & cheese. The owner-chef prepares his food with love and it comes through in the meals. Gospel and cool jazz/blues was playing and we sat at one of the tables by the window and enjoyed our meal. There are 4 tables and the restaurant is decorated with guitar art, cool posters, a historic clock and other creative touches. It was not crowded on Sunday when we arrived at 1:30PM. I think it closes at 2PM on Sundays so don't be late! Many patrons came in to pick up meals and then headed out the door. The neighborhood is going through a big construction and urban development process with a number of new-looking restaurants and shops plus apartment/condo complexes popping up. It was a nice find and the menu is full of delicious items that we will be sure to try next. I highly recommend the food at Chicken Box & More.
