I am writing this review as I go through the dining experience. First impressions: It's in a strip mall. The place is counter order, but table service. Family operated, mom is working the counter. Dad is in the kitchen. Son(?) is working on the computer off to the side. I explained that we had read a good review and we here to check it out. Mom is a riot! Warm, engaging, lively. In between running food to patrons, she stops to make friends with my daughters. We ordered. BE WARNED: Wednesday's you get a free order of hummus and pita bread. THIS STUFF IS LIKE CRACK. Our order is still cooking and I had to go back to order a second one. The hummus is lovely. LOTS of garlic. Not too much... the hummus is noteworthy. Ok... food is here. Details to follow. 1. Cheeseburger and onion rings split between the girls. Nice half pound burger with lettuce, tomato, etc. It was a solid offering. The burger is good, but who orders the burger at a Greek joint??? Well, kids you know... 2. Greek salad: comes with a pita cut in sections, and a big side of tziki sauce. It was decent. 3. Gyro sandwich: the sandwich is BIG. Excellent quality. Definitely worth the drive and the price. 4. Gyro platter: Oops! Probably didn't need to order that Greek salad. About 1/2 a salad worth comes with the platter. Again, excellent quality and well worth the drive and price. We added some dessert... 5. Christina (we've met now, and become old friends already) makes the Baklava heeeelf in the back. It's very good. 6. The Greek donuts... Christina explained that they wait until we are about finished with the meal to drop them into the frier. Hot, crisp on the outside, chewy on the inside, topped with cinnamon and some honey liqueur. She was right... they steel the show. Oh, my god, they are so good. Along the walls of the place are photos in the form of a mural that depict the family's journey from immigrating to the US to the present at the restaurant. This place is just a heart warming, delightful restaurant that really does deliver a great plate of food, and at a great value. The family really just shines with their hospitality. In a time when no one wants to come to work, and those who do don't want to be there, this place is a real exception, a great value, and a delightful experience

If I could describe my experience in one word, i would have to paint you a picture, because this place is worth 1,000 of them. Fresh, hot, cooked to order, quaint little hole in the wall. I’ve passed this spot 100 times and never even given it a second look. I will no longer eat a gyro unless Pasquale is making it. The lamb gyro literally slapped me with flavor. The homemade tzatziki is spot on, and I’ll be real when they say it comes with french fries I expected some cheap little oreida fries but instead got fresh seasoned homemade fries packed with flavor. If you are thinking about coming here DO IT. I would’ve taken a picture of the Gyro but I literally scarfed it down before I even knew what was happening. Absolute 10/10. Also enjoyed the Baklava.

Go for the food that is great! They seem to have the a/c working well now!! Yea!!!! Love the gyro platters. Best around the area. I always get the saganki. Spelling is probably wrong. But it is the flaming cheese with the pita. So delicious. And always have to have a cold Greek beer or two while we chat with Christina, one of the owners. I really like this little place a lot. The only thing I wish they did was take your order at the table like regular restaurants. I don't care to order at a counter and pay, then wait. If I decide to have a second drink, I have to go back to the counter, pull out my bank card, pay again, and go back to the table. Just takes away from the dining out with the wife , date nite experience!

I am writing this review as I go through the dining experience.

First impressions:

It's in a strip mall.

Cheeseburger and onion rings split between the girls. Nice half pound burger with lettuce, tomato, etc. It was a solid offering. The burger is good, but who orders the burger at a Greek joint??? Well, kids you know...

Horrible experience. I visited the restaurant for the first time just to pick up a slice of baklava since was the only thing close to me. The lady who serviced appear to be the owner... since the minimum on credit was 5 dollars I go and ordered the taziki with pita appetizer for $5. Left the restaurant and opened the bag in the car, come to see 4 tiny pieces of pita with a side of extra garlic taziki, as I went ahead and tried the baklava I decided to go back. When I got back the owner asked me what was wrong with the food, I kindly told her that the baklava was soggy and only one layer or nuts and no pistachios.... I told her about the small amount of pitta given in the appetizer. The lady immediately turned rude and told me that she will refund my money.... as she is doing it, she told me there was nothing wrong and the the pitta was more than enough for the price paid.. as I told her I was just letting her know what was wrong with the food and why I didn’t like the baklava the lady raised her voice and was extremely rude to the point where she was yelling as I walked out of the restaurant. I don’t understand why she had to be so rude and disrespectful when I was just only giving feedback which she asked.... never stepping foot in...

I had the worst experience picking up an order at this place. First of all, the order was not ready and I accepted to wait. Unfortunately, I did not know at that time It was going to be a 45 minutes waiting for only 5 gyros and no customers at the shop. However, I waited silent, patiently, and I was decent despite of mistreatment. After the order was ready , the "owners" I guess, started to argue in front of me like If they were at home. They took so long to pack the food...That was so unprofessional, screaming each other, trying to see who was more inept. At the end, the guy told me : "show me the order, so you can confirm and get out of here". What a rude attitude!!!. I should have been the one who was upset for your behavior and bad service. I had to talk to the customer and apologize because the order took forever for no reason , and also report that to the delivery company.

I understand why that store was so empty on a Friday. I do not blame anybody for not coming to this place. For now on, whenever I get an order from the Gyro Joint I will avoid to get it, and will advise anybody I know to avoid this place. Enjoy...
