I found this Kava bar on Google. The hours of operation on Google was 24 hours. I had just finished my outing with my friends on the beach and was close to home so I stopped here because I wanted to try kava for the first time. I walked in and I realized it was a small place so I continued to walk to the back just to have a look around. All of a sudden someone ran me down and confronted me saying “where are you going? You have to buy something if you want to use the bathroom”. I said oh, I’m sorry, he then said “are you going to buy something, you can’t use our bathroom”. The tone was so aggressive and at that point I was irritated so I said to him do you really think that I would come here just to use the bathroom after 2 AM at a spot on the side of the road that’s barely noticeable. I have driven past this spot so many times since I’ve moved here and you would not know it was there unless you’re looking for it. He shrugged his shoulders and committed to it. It felt like someone following you around because they think you’re going to steal something. After walking out I went back in because i really wanted to try kava and thought I shouldn’t let anything ruin my experience so I sat at the bar only to discover that he was actually the “Bartender” and he did not approach me after that. The people next to me at the bar were super friendly and explained what kava was and the Leaf I should try as a first timer, after my little kava lesson I left. Needless to say, I will never come back here and I’ll just try the spot on the beach that I wanted to try, too bad...
