Christmas Dinner Disaster!!! At the Marriott Hotel in Pompano Beach..
Last week I found this place advertised in the New Times.. I called the restaurant spoke with the chef.. Name? He read me his new Christmas menu..snapper,lamb chops, pompano fish, etc.. Was told could arrive anytime from 330 pm on and start with appetizers and drinks. I told him I was bringing my elderly parents with my mom being in a wheelchair... This guy assured me "his staff would be accommodate us and we would enjoy our meal!"
We arrived at 330 pm.the lady at the front desk "Ana" was pleasant.. She offered to use our camera to take a few pics by the . She "Ana" showed us the framed Xmas menu and" told us to enjoy our meal!"
When we got to the dining room a sign read... "please wait to be seated"...yet, no staff was around... 1 customer was seated at a table. 1 man at the bar... Still after 10 minutes... No staff to seat us... I then walk out to the pool area to ask if someone can seat us. We sat down and was given a "lunch menu" of fried tidbits... that one would expect to eat poolside or at a bar, my father requested a shrimp cocktail.".the waitress had to get permission from the boss she said!"
We ordered 1 corona, 1 coke, 1 water...never arrived.
We asked for bread... Waitress again confused... Said "not on menu!"
Then I asked "why she gave us the luncheon menu... Where is the Christmas menu? She said "not served til 5pm..blah blah blah
No exceptions... I told her "we were told to come at this time...
End result... Nothing ever made it to table... She refused to bring the "boss" to the table, the supervisor arrives... Looking dazed and waiving around the Xmas menu refusing to accommodate us..
It took us 1.5 hrs one way to get there...
We Just Walked Out..
I will be calling Marriott Corp in the am.
Lady at front said as we were leaving "the waitress is in training today!"..lol
