The first time I came here I had read online on many different Google searches that dogs are allowed. I had my dog off leash and a lifeguard came up and said I can have her there but she just needed a leash, I quickly leashed her. However, the second time I came I had my dog on a leash we had already walked up and down the beach past all the lifeguard towers. When we were going in for a swim we got flagged down by a lifeguard yelling at me that my dog is not allowed. I explained I had previously been told my dog can be here by a fellow lifeguard and he asked me his name, I didn’t think to ask the lifeguards name as I was just following directions, he said I should have been smarter and gotten his name, snitch much? An area is blocked off for Kite surfers to launch so other beachgoers must walk a little to the north or south to sit. (A short walk but annoying to some older residents). Fun to sit back and watch the surfers come and go though. Public restrooms on site. Limited parking (pay via app or at the kiosk) which fills up on the weekend during season. Read moreBeautiful spot. My husband and I were married here, and I would highly recommend this spot for a small beach wedding, but just beware this is a HUGE spot for kite surfing. It was a very windy day during our event, so the place was rather full with people kite surfing, but they were very respectful and stayed away from the areas we were using for the ceremony. Otherwise, the views were spectacular and it feels much more private than a larger well know ocean access point. Plenty of metered parking available as well...
