So we stayed here to use a certificate for listening to a presentation on timeshares. We chose this place because it's close to our home and with the pandemic going on we didn't want to go far. Our room was on the 8th floor. We had a very nice view of the beach and ocean, the pool and tiki bar. The balcony had water dripping on it constantly from the roof. It's also pretty small. The room wasn't bad. There was some water damage on the ceiling in a couple of spots and there was little pieces of paint, etc., on the floor. That's really the only bad thing I can say about the room. There was a full kitchen with dishes, utensils, etc. The bed wasn't bad at all but we couldn't get a decent night's sleep because the ac on the roof was sooooo loud. I would definitely not stay on the 8th floor if i went back. Nice not to have to pay to park! I felt very safe staying there regarding covid. Social distancing and everyone wearing masks were being practiced by everyone. Especially employees. We really enjoyed the tiki bar and the restaurant. Staff was professional and friendly.

I wanted to do 3.5 but can’t. I pushed it to 4 this place has so much potential. Last year the elevator was broken the entire week. This year it was the hot tub for 4 days. They are doing slow renovations and I know it’s hard with constant guests. Some of the staff has been there too long and you may think oh that’s great, but is it? Too comfortable with customers and some too comfortable with each other. Everyone was nice don’t get me wrong, but could use a little more professionalism at times. The rooms are small most of them, I’ve stayed in or seen several. That is what it is, the beds are so hard. Like sleeping on the floor. The rest is accommodating and adequate for a stay on the beach. Atmosphere is great. Very beachy and chill, but the iguanas who now inhabit their trees and plants in their courtyard should probably be relocated. Scared some people. I’ve been going for a few years and probably will continue but I definitely look forward to the continued improvements.

My family and I spent a week here during school vacation week. We needed a last minute vacation (1.5 months before arrival) and settled on this place as we have never been to Fort Lauderdale area. I wish I took the Google reviews more seriously.

Let's start with the positive: -Great views -Great private beach -Seaside Restaurant and Tiki Bar were great with awesome service (I don't think they're affiliated with the resort, however) -Walkability to the pier with shops and restaurants

Negatives (all have been mentioned in previous reviews) -Very run down. Mold all over bathrooms. Stains all over. -Both elevators in main building had an inspection that expired in 2022. -Front desk people were nice with the exception of the one older lady. I didn't have any issues personally but over hearing her condescending tone talking down to every single person that I oversaw was absolutely wild. One lady was politely asking where to do the linen exchange and trash removal. She shouted "NORTH SIDE OF BUILDING". The customer asked where that was because she never stayed here before the lady working actually rolled her eyes and pointed. I saw another guy checking in and every step of the way she was over-the-top condescending and answering his questions like he should already know the answers. I was waiting at the end of a 4 person line to get towels and he looked at me said "boy, she's a treat" on his way out. No idea how she works in a customer facing job. -I would not consider this family friendly at all (as mentioned in many other reviews). Every time we went to the pool, there were senior citizens smoking cigarettes literally all day. Maybe this is a Florida thing but I've never seen so much cigarettes in my life. We've stayed at resorts all over the country and have never experienced anything to this degree. -Our queen bedroom had a black bra and panties under the bed when we moved in. -The constant smell of marijuana in our condo was overwhelming. I'm not sure if it was coming from a nearby room and this was just bad luck, but even for someone who doesn't mind it like myself, it was just 24/7. -Roaches in the outside hallways

I just find it hard to believe that there are so many common themes in the negative reviews for years now and nothing has seemed to change. I can understand the appeal if you're a senior citizen but in no possible way would I ever bring my family back here. There is no way this place will last past the next generation with so many renovations happening in the surrounding resorts. So much potential but no leadership to improve.

If you're a family traveling, PLEASE do your...

This was our first time at this resort. We'll start off with the good... The pool and hot tub were excellent. As was the area surrounding the pool. The outside bar and restaurant were excellent as well, with great service. Beach was very good... However--- The resort itself was so run down. The balcony was very tiny, with hardly any room for a lounge chair or the 2 other chairs. The chairs themselves were all terribly worn, with chipped arm rests and rust color markings on the vinal ... clearly very old. No privacy with the adjoining balcony's for other rooms. As an example... I was standing on the balcony, and the room next door- a man walked out just in his underwear. Railings and floor were extremely chipped, desperately in need of paint. The first day we were there, we went to the store to buy Windex, to clean the sliding glass doors, because they were filthy. Bedrooms were tiny, with a small TV, that covered half the mirror hung over the dresser. Cable service was very limited. DVD player with no remote. A safe to put our passports in, but dead battery, so did not work. There were water marks on the ceiling. No room for a chair in the bedrooms. Lighting throughout the unit was very harsh, bright white / fluorescent. Small bathroom with mold on the ceiling in the shower. There was a used wash cloth hung over the shower head when we arrived. The common areas, such as the outdoor elevator to get to your room--and the halls were absolutely filthy. Inside the elevator, it looked as if soda had spilled on the wall, and was there the entire week. Dirt in hallways and on the elevator floor. The furniture was very outdated and worn. An overwhelming musty smell in the rooms, which permeated our clothing. I wish there was an area here on this site to upload pictures... we took many photos to corroborate our experience. Entry way to the resort itself was dirty. We booked the 2 bedroom condo, with 2 floors. In our opinion... even if the resort is older... there simply is no excuse to not keep up with necessary cleaning and maintenance. Had we known all this.... We never would have booked here. And it's safe to say we will...

This is an old building. Rooms are outdated. The room paint and walls are in not so good condition. The hallways are very narrow. The only good thing is the location on the beach. I had a very umpleasant experience here. I checked in with my family on Saturday. Sunday around noon we received a call from reception that the people staying in the room below us were complaining for the noise. Between 12 and 3 pm we received 4 calls and a visit from reception. The guy who came from reception didn't explain about what was happening but kind of ordered to keep it down. I told him I didn't understand what was the complaint. I have a 3 years old and a 5 years old that mostly are seating watching videos. I Assumed their complaint was from the steping sound of my kids. I started to get stressed over the situation when the people from the room below came nocking our door that same day. I didn't open, but they made sure we hear them as they started to knock very violently their ceiling (which is the floor of our room) with I don't know what. Next day, again about noon, the guy staying in the room below came knocking my door. I was alone with my 3 and 5 years old. He came confrontational saying a bunch of stuff that I actually didn't want to hear because I was very anxious and stressed for their insistence. I just informed him that noise complaints in hotels are commonly from 10pm to 7am and that we didn't violate any if those hours, and that he was coming to complain for sounds at noon hours not morning or night. It just blew my mind that with no party going on or music or anything but just for having small kids I was being harassed. I don't know the mental status of every person, but if they were not ok the hotel should move them or us to avoid issues. I felt not safe there which ruined my rest...
