Great spot to launch your boat ! Safe ( B.S.O. Keep a good eye on this location) I noticed they have a few boats there makes it a great choice in my opinion. Also close to my home and business. * weekends it gets packed, keep in mind. I believe all ramps are very similar in that regard. So I would recommend this location. Great for dropping in the tinder or if you’re going to use the ramps , be sure to use them properly, I suggest come early! Weekends will be packed ( and yes parking will fill up rapidly. ) it’s a a block away from my business *Complete Yacht Detailing and Management , Pompano Bch 33062 . ( love the fact I can drive my boat to my clients locations , especially during rush hours! ) great for my routine cleaning and monitoring for my customers vessels on a regular basis. Convenient location to light house point, pompano, Hillsboro mile and harbor drive !!! Makes my work much more enjoyable and efficient to arrive to there location with out taking up any parking space, and I can work from my boat to detailing / ceramic, or routine wash in 1/2 the time as I wound if I used a float , ext . It’s my 1st choice for location and convenience ! See you there ! And the broward sheriffs office in Marine patrol keep a close watch on my suv . Never a problem there . Only on the weekends it can get busy as do all of the ramps ! 5 star for me ! And my little 19.5 Yamaha jet boat is a breeze too get in and out of the way ( no wake , or props , keeping my manatee friends safe , ) they should have more hoses or a spot to get ice ( get your provisions aldi/ or Publix. fuel ect beforehand at shell on fed hwy and...
Read moreEasy to get in and out of from the street. The docks are nice and easy to access. The meter where you pay wasn't working at first, the park ranger came over and fixed it long enough for one of us to at least pay, then it was out of paper so we couldn't get a receipt to put in our car. The app on my phone wasn't working kept saying it timed out, and then all of the sudden it was counting down time. No one else could use their apps, we were instructed to go to the other side and pay. It was a big inconvenience as we where scheduled to be on the boat by 10 am for a one year memorial for our family member, making it difficult to keep our schedule. I heard from some of the other guys there that this happens all of the time. The attendant wasn't very nice about it either, acting as if it was no big deal, and knowing our situation because he was there going through it with us. Told us if we got a ticket it would be $45. Although we started off saying this is great, it ended up a a parking disaster. Not a fun start for what was already going to be...
Read moreI’ve been using this city park for years. We board our dive charter boat, the O’Sea D of Parrot Island Diving when she comes round the corner an ties in to the ample pier. There are also 2 large boat ramps for you lucky boat owners. All of this is free, as are the drawbridges, courtesy of the City of Pompano Beach. The city funds the park by charging you to park. There is a huge pull-through lot for cars and trucks with trailers. Passenger cars park in a standard parking area that runs along 14th street. There are 2 kiosks to pay for parking in 15 minute blocks with your credit card. You can also download the Passport Parking app to pay for parking— also nice if you need to extend your parking session. Don’t try to cheat on your parking fee — you will get a ticket. There are also restrooms, a small play area for the kids and a grassy area to curb your...
