UPDATED: 5/22/2024 Walking into Revelry felt like ALL the episodes of True Blood, American Horror Story, Six Feet Under, Orange Is the New Black, The Walking Dead, and Downton Abbey walked into a blender, and someone hit Frappe. It’s an experience and a feast for the senses. You'll gag! You get the idea! This aging Xennial (46 and fabulous) found pure joy in this eclectic, wildly entertaining spot.
First off, the warm welcome. Chef Paul Pincus from East Meadow, NY, greeted us with a line that had me questioning my life choices: "You're here to eat, here to drink, and then go home and _ ." Bravo, Chef! 🤣 As a gay couple, my partner and I felt instantly at home. At that point, take my money! Inclusivity with a side of sass—precisely what we needed.
We were seated at the bar, where the fabulous bartender Ally kept the good vibes rolling. Her hospitality was as refreshing as the Negroni she mixed up for us (gin, Lo-Fi sweet vermouth, Aperol—pure perfection). My Old Fashioned with Elijah Craig Bourbon, Simple Syrup, Angostura, and Orange Bitters was the best I've had in ages. Drink game: strong.
Now, the food. Oh, the food. I had The Jezebelle burger, a 1/2lb black Angus beef masterpiece with mango habanero whip and strawberry onion jam on a brioche bun. Tender, juicy, and cooked to perfection. Honestly, it might be the best burger I've ever had. Anthony went for the Prime Rib French Dip with garlic horseradish aioli, provolone, and au jus. He was equally blown away. Both dishes came with homemade tater tots that were the stuff of dreams.
Revelry is a haven of quirky decor, incredible food, and top-notch drinks. It was our first night out after moving into our place, and it was truly unforgettable. For an experience that’s deliciously unique and welcoming to all, head to Revelry. Trust me, you'll leave with a full belly and a smile that says, "Bravo, Humans!" 👏🏼
P.S. Don't forget to thank Paul and Ally for making your night one for the books. Cheers!
UPDATE: 5/22/2024 On our second visit, we enjoyed the food as much as the first time. Getting a Burger and a Beer for $15 has become my new Wednesday tradition. The burgers were delicious and cooked perfectly, and the beer was cold and tasty. I ordered the Jezebel again, and it was flawless. My partner had The Mayor, a quintessential classic. We also tried the Bread Pudding this time, which was beyond scrumptious. I highly...
Read moreWhen I walked in to sit at the bar there was every employee no lie behind it which is intimidating in itself. Then you have a million things set out on the bar which is bad enough but, an employee actually started cleaning in front of me pushed all the decor even closer to me right after delivering my food… then another employee accidentally cleaned the same area while I was esting and had every wine glass in front of me. The menu is actually decent. My sandwich was good however they put ranch on a hot sandwich. Come onnnn lol you don’t put ranch on a hot sandwich, it’ll just drip all over the place. Especially when it’s overcooked. Felt like I was at a bad chilis or Applebees. It sucks bc the decor is pretty friggen cool and they do a great job welcoming you in and then super awkward as nice as the employees are it’s just not genuine. Employees speaking another language in front of me, I could feel hostility between other employees. Hope you switch some things up now so you make it. Happy hour drink prices aren’t great either. I could keep going but this is super long they just need a manager with more experience working a successful restaurant.
Edit* I went on a Saturday evening and the place was almost empty so I can see why the employees were gathered around. They should just do it somewhere else. I also don’t mean to sound like negative Nancy I was being honest and hope you take this as advice from someone who worked in restaurants and bars for over 10 years and is now able to enjoy the good ones in town and elsewhere. I really think you guys can turn it around with some more experienced employees who study the meaning behind...
Read moreWow!! If your a local and you haven’t been here already then your obviously a hermit!! This place is Totally Out of this World Delicious! I had a long stay over in the Pompano beach area. I am so upset I found Revelry on my last full day here! They far outbeat the 5 star restaurant I visited the first night. On Taste & Supreme service!!
I was so impressed with the Fun and relaxed decor and all of the employees are super friendly and knowledgeable. I had a hard time picking what to eat bc so many dishes sounded Delicious! I ended up with the Killer Chicken and my friend had the Beef French Dip. We shared the pickle platter which was Great. I’ve had a lot of chartreuse platters and this one did not disappoint! From pickled okra to , pickled onions and spicy pickles. With a delicious hand made hummus and warm freshly salted pita bread!!!
I can only say my sandwich was beyond amazing. It was so juicy that you need to eat it over a plate or you’re gonna mess your clothes up!! Warm soft flavorful bread with succulent chicken breasts and the perfect amount of cheese. And some Totts!! Yum
Beef French Dip: soft flavorful bread that soaked the juices up nicely and with soft tender beef to fill the center. The dipping sauce was a delicious base of beef with perfect amount of salty goodness. 11 out of 10!!
Overall I’m so happy to find this place and am sad I’m not a local to experience the restaurant more often!! Tonight was vampire poetry at 6. Several folks invited us but sadly can’t go.
I don’t often give 10/10 but this folks is definitely in my opinion a Must...
