There is no way to adequately describe how good the food was. Or how wonderful the host, Paolo, was. AND THE SERVICE? Wow. Mind boggling. The only other unlimited steakhouse that I have ever experienced was The Knife, and the contrast is so obvious. RGS blows them out of the water. First, Paolo was kind, patient and informative when I called them on the phone to ask questions about the restaurant, the meat options and the best times to visit without needing to make a reservation. He took time to make suggestions for the best experience and did not dismiss my concerns about using the Groupon. Next, when my son and I walked in, they were so welcoming. THE ENTIRE STAFF. The restaurant is clean, classy and understated. Not stuffy or pretentious. That fact alone made it so refreshing. The food is central...AND I HAVE NEVER TASTED MEAT THAT WAS SO TENDER, PERFECTLY SEASONED OR SAVORY. I made the fortunate decision to skip lunch so that I could really enjoy my dinner with a full appetite. Our water glasses never went below halfway the entire night and even the water was crisp, clear, delicious and refreshing. And I do not mean bottled! They must use an amazing filter, but their attention to detail does stand out more than anything else. From the white linen tablecloth to the fresh, colorful salad bar, the experience was utter perfection. The salad offerings were delicious, yet simple, allowing the meats to be the stars of the show. Oh, and the garlic cheese bread? Mouth watering bliss! I am on the keto diet and that was worth taking a carb blocker for! LOL. This place is off the beaten trail, and you could miss it if you blink. But it is a hidden gem of fine dining. At the end of the meal, we decided to try a dessert. We opted for the crème brûlée and thought heaven had certainly kissed the earth. I am still tasting that perfect custard with the caramelized top. I am more of a chocolate person, (normally) but this may be my new favorite dessert. My son agreed. My only regret? That I don't have another stomach to sample more of their tempting items. This place was worth the 30-minute drive. Oh, and the tv monitor displayed the painting prowess of Bob Ross instead of force feeding trash tv down diner throats. Points for clean entertainment in my book. Beautiful music playing in background and not drowning out our conversation. This restaurant deserves to succeed. These are difficult times, but they have the winning recipe! Do your stomach a favor...
Read moreThis little Brazilian steakhouse sits in a small strip mall. Driving past, I probably wouldn’t have even considered stopping. I may not have even noticed.
But that would have been a pity. The restaurant isn’t large, but it does have two rooms along with a small salad bar in the one room. We went on a Wednesday night, and the place wasn’t busy for dine in. However, several people came in to pick up their carry out orders.
The service was fantastic! We started out getting a few things on the salad bar (there were sliced tomatoes, lettuce, mozzarella balls, some hot items and a few other things). When we sat down, one of the servers brought us warm garlic bread soon followed by cheese bread. Both were tasty!
Soon after, we flipped our cards from red to green so the servers knew we were ready for the meats. We had sausage, chicken, pork loin and multiple types of steak. My favorite was the ribeye, which they cooked to our specifications. The bacon-wrapped chicken was great as well. Actually, most everything was quite tasty. I just didn’t have enough room to sample everything.
Our server was friendly and helpful, asking us how we liked our meat and what we wanted more of when we were finishing our meal.
My only disappointment was the grilled pineapple. At other Brazilian steakhouses, it came out warm on one of the many skewers. This time it was chilled and served on the salad bar. It had a good flavor, but nothing compared to warm pineapple. Then we received the dessert menu and discovered that they did indeed offer warm, grilled pineapple with ice cream and drizzled with honey. Unfortunately, we were too full to find room for anything more.
As noted earlier, it’s in what I would call a small strip mall. The parking lot was small, too, but I thought some other spaces were available nearby. With the low lighting levels,it was hard to tell. If you go on a busy night and you’re meeting others, you might want to all ride together.
If you have the chance, stop by this steakhouse for an enjoyable meal served by the friendly staff. In my opinion, the meats they offered were the best of any Brazilian steakhouse...
Read moreUpdated at bottom. Too expensive for what they serve. I ordered for delivery. The food was cold and aside from that, it didn't live up to the photos, it was blah. Some items I ordered were purposely left out. I called the restaurant and the person answering the phone hung up on me, I guess he didn't want to know what I had an issue with, I only told him there was an issue with my order and he hung up. I will never recommend this place. I was hungry for steak, I could have gone to Walmart for a portable grill and cheap meat and and still made a better meal than what we received.
Update: I was surprised by the Owners response, the we will investigate "what really happened" remark kind of made me positive this a place to steer clear of. I am an expert on Customer Retention, not Customer Service. I don't passify my clients with a pat on the head and coupon for next visit to get treated just as poorly, if not worse. I make sure my clients enjoy their experience and choose to return. I address issues without the backhanded blame the consumer attitude. Whenever I see that passive aggressive person is the one making the call, I know to stop and turn. This will not get any better. I read the reviews. I've seen places like this, the reviews are too polar to be believable. I just want to be clear. The meals I purchased looked nothing, not even close to menu. I put notes into the system that went unread. The food was NOT cooked as ordered. And lastly, since details are important, when I called the restaurant that night, the person I spoke to hung up on me immediately after I said I had ordered from my hotel room. Honestly, I wouldn't be the least but surprised if the owner pads the reviews with family...
