My husband and I have visited this location many times and never have had any issues. However, tonight was terrible. We began by sitting briefly in the drive thru lane and decided we would go ahead and go inside when we realized that the line wasn’t moving very fast. We entered the restaurant with 2 other parties ahead of us and ordered our food at 6:39. As the restaurant emptied out and employees began chatting as if no one was in the building and other employees were dismissed to break, I decided to inquire about the wait time on our food at 6:59. Upon realization that we were still inside the restaurant and that we hadn’t received our food, the gentleman at the desk was extremely apologetic and quickly began preparing our food. However, he kept placing the blame on the lady that was dismissed to her break. I learned much about the lives of the employees though. For instance, the gentleman that began prepping our food hadn’t smoked a cigarette all day and that he didn’t even need to be trained when hired for his job, the lady that was dismissed for break really wanted to be able to go play at the casino but instead needed to pay rent, and the manager of the location was happy to allow the lady to get whatever food she wanted because he didn’t care what she ate, all the while he was walking around in the back of the kitchen popping food in his mouth as often as possible. Did I mention the extremely loud belch that an employee felt the need to let out while we ate? Read moreI hate to give a Popeyes a disappointing 2 stars at best. Unfortunately, the restaurant was filthy. Yes, there is a manager number you can call. But honestly, what is that going to do? When we arrived we were immediately greeted with “just to let you know we are short staff tonight” but should that really surprise anyone anymore? We did have a rather large group so we understood that it might take awhile anyways. The food(that they weren’t currently out of) was good as expected. They were out of most sides, soda fountain didn’t work in the lobby and the bathrooms… oh my. I know we are only 22 days into the new year but they honestly probably haven’t been cleaned this year. I got there was asked to drive forward waited 39 minutes for the food. When asked what was taking so long the person said that order was custom and it took 15 to 10 minutes to cook the chicken classic I didn't have a custom order. The week before I went there and got some mash potatoes that were spoiled, I called them up and told them about the mash potatoes the woman on the phone took my name .and said I could go by and get 2 orders of mash potatoes for my trouble, so that is why I made another trip to Ponca city Im near Metford. So today when I got there I let them know about the mash potatoes and what had been promised to me, after waiting for the food the person told me they found no information with my name ot about the incident.
