El Consultorio Lunch & Bar — Restaurant in Ponce

If you find yourself in Ponce, Puerto Rico, make sure you give yourself the opportunity to check out the chinchorros on Avenida Hostos. Every one of them has an amazing vibe, great music, and the Puerto Rican warmth we all come to love. BUT, if you're also hungry, may I highly recommend El Consultorio. This place has it all! Great vibes, amazing food, excellent drinks and, of course as it is typical in the Island, hospitable and friendly service!

We tried the sliders that come with amarillo (fried plantain) and bacon with crisscut fries and the regular sliders with a side of Onion Rings. WOW! The combination of the amarillos (soft and sweet) combined with the crispy bacon and the juicy steak meat makes this slider, by far, the best I've ever tried anywhere!

If anything, I will visit Ponce again just to eat at el Consul+orio one more time! You must come to your consultation where I guarantee you, you will feel a lot better after a couple of drinks and some...

Entramos y la empleada nos miró, y no dijo ni buenas tardes, adelante, se pueden sentar donde gusten, nada. Pues nos sentamos y esperamos para ver si traian algun menu y ni siquiera se movió detrás de la barra. Se quedó parada haciendo absolutamente nada.

Finalmente le pregunte si tenia un menú, y parece que estaba de mal humor porque hasta hizo gesto con la mano indicando que la estábamos molestando.

No nos levantamos al momento para no hacer un show pero pasaron como 5 minutos y le devolví el menú y le dije gracias y en esos momentos ella se sonrió. Me imagino que de alegría que nos íbamos.

Que pena por el dueño del establecimiento porque con ese trato de su empleada, va seguir...

Pasé por el lugar y entramos a tomar algo. Me encontré con un espacio amplio y buena colocación de mesas altas para compartir. Me sentí cómoda y segura. Tiene acondicionador de aire pero las puertas están abiertas. La barrra es amplia y bien surtida. Pude ver cómodamente la variedad de cervezas artesanales de PR y los diferentes licores que puedes escoger. El personal es muy atento y amigable. El lugar se vé muy limpio.
