Friday night: We put our name on waitlist and gave host our number a bit before 8PM, for either table seating or bar seating for two people. There were no available tables or bar seating available without waiting. We were told we were number two on wait list. then we popped to restaurant nearby (less than a .25 mile away) for a drink while waiting. Were quoted 30-40 minutes, but after 35 minutes when we didn’t receive anything, were hungry, so decided to get appetizer at alternative place. After an hour passed, we decided to order our primary meal at the restaurant. Passed back by after an hour and 45 minutes, when we had finished eating and there was plenty seating, but we’d still not been texted or called for our place on the wait list. As local small business owners ourselves, not sure how this restaurant intends upon making it with little table and bar turnover and no such desire to do so.
UPDATE: Gave them another shot due to others’ glowing reviews. Were sat immediately this time (yay for the expansion). Server took a few minutes, but was quick with drinks and app. Drinks were mediocre, very sweet, lots of mix, tasted pre-made. Then I pointed to him exactly what I wanted on the menu — it was loud, and I didn’t want confusion because I wasn’t super hungry — A birria taco and a fish taco and a side of esquites. What was brought out? a full order of quesa birria, and a fish taco (dry and overcooked) and esquites (really good). When I pointed this out to the server, he said, well that’s what I put in, and its already out. So I quickly said it was fine and that I’d box up the rest to go. But then he walked away, I asked again for a box. After we were done eating, we waited for about 15 minutes while he passed by probably 4-5 times for a box. I mean, we probably would’ve stayed and had another drink, if we’d even been asked if we wanted another. But after the long wait was an immediate box...
Read moreI will start off with the chips and salsa on Wednesday appetizers are 1/2 price. The chips were actually really good, definitely tasted fresh and not out of a bag. The salsa was pretty good also as I am pretty picky about salsa and I definitely liked the salsa.
I ordered the 3 tacos with 2 sides and also the quesabirria tacos. I will start with the quesabirria tacos, they were really really good. They are full of meat and both the meat and were very flavorful. Definitely recommend and I could definitely go back and get them again. Also the price on them is normal, that’s about what you will pay everywhere else. Now the tacos… I got the streak and they just wasn’t good and I know tacos. Also they are definitely not worth $4 if you was just going to order 1. I would not recommend the steak tacos at all. I also got a chorizo taco with it and the chorizo was pretty good. I see they have different breakfast dishes for brunch with chorizo and I will definitely be back at some point to try those as they are only served during lunch. The charro beans were really good. Now the esquite (Mexican street corn) was REALLY REALLY good. I will say by far the best I ever had even having it in actually Mexico many of times. That street corn was amazing.
Service was great, the young kid was very nice, polite and very attentive… I forgot his name though.
I would definitely recommend this place and I will most definitely be back for the street corn and the...
Read moreSaw some drinks from here on FB some time ago and I wanted to check out the place. Finally made my way out there on the 1st of April and I love it. The atmosphere is nice. I love the food and drinks. I had the steak tacos with rice and beans and the Boujie Bch drink. I also tried the Chorizo-Rd, it was good as well. Only downfall is that it's small and I've hear where the wait would be hours because of the limited seating. There are a few tables outside, so that's good if you don't want to be crowded inside. When I first went, there were seats available at the bar, but that area was a little compacted as well. My second visit was yesterday (4/09/2022) doing the Strawberry Festival, went and grabbed a drink (I believed it was the Boujie Bch, but with strawberries instead). Will definitely make this one of my favorite spots to visit whenever I'm in the area. I would recommend. Side note: my order was $30 ($19 for The Fantastic Four and $11 for the Boujie B**ch) and my gf was $19. She had the Chorizo-Rd ($9) and a margarita ($10). Overall, it was $53.87, just throwing out a...
