The Ponchatoula Strawberry Festival 2025. The family set out to Ponchatoula to enjoy the best weather not cold, not too hot, and sunny. Paid Parking and free parking were plentiful about two blocks away. Streets were barricaded with the sheriff and police presence. You start to hear the carnival rides and good ones at that, not small ones you might see at an elementary school fair. You get hit with smells of the foods. Specifically the spicy cajun offerings. We tried the chicken and shrimp Cajun pasta. Was rich and delicious. Most foods are small clam shell Togo box size at $10-$15. Soft Drinks and water at $3 a 20 ounce bottle. I tried a non-alcoholic strawberry daiquiri (pictured) from a baseball team fundraiser and it was delicious. My wife enjoyed a fried oyster Po boy and it looked and smelled wonderful. She commented that it was delicious. My son enjoyed a chicken tenders and fries basket and later got a green apple sno cone. Finding food and drinks was no problem. Alcohol strawberry daiquiri are priced at $9 for a 16 ounce cup or $18 for a plastic souvenir water bottle size. Other booths sold them by the yard. We found a wine booth and picked two bottles of sweet strawberry wine to enjoy later. Before leaving my daughter had to try the strawberry shortcake booth. For $7 it was yummy. I highly recommend you try this festival and enjoy the music, food, and fun.

This year was my first attending the well known Strawberry Festival🍓. My experience wasn't so great for several reasons. The traffic was absolutely terrible. We spent more time in the car than the actual festival. Mainly due to blockage and people walking in the roads preventing cars from passing. When we finally arrived, it was extremely over crowded. We could barely maneuver from place to place. I will say, the food was excellent and my reason for 3 stars. I indulged in chicken cracklings and Belgium waffles. The strawberry daiquiri made with real strawberries was also a delectable treat. I won't say this is my last time attending, but this festival definitely needs to be organized better. I wanted to leave a fair review because this year was most likely not expected to be a disaster. I usually hear good things. I need to also add that I saw on the news after we left, someone got shot there. Not...

Went to the famous strawberry festival. 🍓 Do not waste your time. The parking is awful, with no provisions for the handicap or parents with strollers. We walked over a mile to get to the park, which is in the middle of a neighborhood. Along the main street, there is not a side walk for pedestrians. It was really crowded and the concert area is really small. People with chairs did not have anywhere to place them or sit. This was my first and last time. It's obvious this festival needs to be moved to a larger venue. There were no police within for crowd control. If something bad happened, a lot of people would get hurt in the process. The police were there for...
