I have went to the Idaho Ponderay McDonald's 2 times this week and both times I had the same thing happen. The first time I went with my fiancee inside the Ponderay McDonald's and we were the only ones in there. We made our order and then the lady who took our order seemed to be high as kite (her eyes were red and she was says uhhhh a lot like she had no idea what she was doing or it just took her awhile to remember how to do her job) watched my fiancee throw the receipt into the garbage. We were waiting for our food (still the only ones in there who placed an order with the lady). She gave us our food and we went to the car to eat my fiancee looked in the bag and his food was there but I didn't get my 10 nuggets I got my sacue but no nuggets so I go back in (still no one had gone in there and order with her) I get in there and I tell her I didn't get my 10 piece she said " uhhhhhh no I put it in there" and I said "no u didn't or I wouldn't be back in here" she proceeded to insist I was wrong and then asked to see my receipt I said "you watched my fiancee throw it in the trash if you want to see it you can go get it out of the trash" because at this point I wasn't happy with the way she was handling this. Finally she said ill go look to see if there's one sitting in the kitchen and low and behold here she comes with my 10 peace she didn't apologize just said "here" and walked away. The second time was just an hour ago and I went through the drive through. I get to the window and I pay and the lady gave me no receipt so I drive to the next window to get my order I got it and I start to look through it and realize they didn't give me the 2 sausage burritos my fiancee asked for but they gave me the sause for them, so I said I didn't get my 2 burritos and the lady said ok can I see your receipt and I told her the lady at the first window didn't give it to me and she left and came back with 2 burritos. We drove away after and my fiancee opened the first one and it looks and feels like its been sitting in there kitchen for hours under a heat lamp it was hard and half way cold and the next one was like that to he didn't even eat them they felt and looked so gross. I will not be going back the Ponderay McDonald's seem to be disorganized, rude, allows employs to be high at work, and not good with cooking or throwing out old gross food they sell to costumers. We will not be coming back and will be telling others of our experience with the...
Read moreOrdered 2 quarter pounder burgers with cheese, 20 piece nuggets, 2 fries. Those were all fine. After we ate that, we then went back in to order dessert (1 large vanilla shake, 1 medium vanilla shake, 1 decaf coffee, and 1 sundae with caramel and hot fudge). TWENTY MINUTES!!! What on earth?!
I try to have patience. I understand if workers are sick or called off or whatever but there was plenty of staff and they weren’t even busy. Went at 3:30ish PM on 7/5/2025. There was a lady working (bigger lady with shorter dark hair, about 45ish yo?) chatting away for about ten minutes with two off-duty employees clogging up the space at the pickup counter where people were trying to retrieve their orders. These two off-duty employees acquired 5 different drinks/mcflurries between the two, whereas my drinks were nowhere to be seen. Then another off-duty worker comes up to that counter and starts requesting to have some certain upcoming day off, so on they go talking about that.
After they were finally done powwowing, I stepped up and politely requested an ETA on my order, after which the dark haired lady looked up at the pending orders board and said “ohh danggg..” (which I assumed translated to “wow this lady has been waiting forever and this was my job to get these drinks out”)… another worker said to her “this order is going on 900 seconds.” FIFTEEN MINUTES.
Dark haired lady proceeds to make the drinks/treats. And gives me a sundae with about a third of the ice cream it’s supposed to have slopped in the cup. I asked her if she can please put more ice cream in the cup. She looked like she wanted to refuse but she went and got me more ice cream anyway.
Honestly at this point they should have given me a refund for my entire order and gave me the stuff for free. I am so steamed up I’m almost laughing about it. Especially after reading the other reviews about what a garbage place this is. Speaking of garbage, the bathroom garbages were also nearly overflowing.
Luckily I don’t live in the area and was just passing through and will never have to frequent this lousy...
Read moreI don't generally have high expectations for any McDonald's, but this location managed to completely irritate me. We went through the drive through around 7pm, and it took at least five minutes to get to the first window to pay. That was unusual. We were only ordering four desserts: two strawberry pies, and two ice cream cones. We gave the woman exact change, and she closed the window without giving us a receipt (so we couldn't do the customer survey). No big deal; we slowly moved forward, second in line from the pick up window.
And there we waited...and waited. I am not exaggerating when I say it was 10-15 minutes. The woman in the SUV in front of us had an order so large it took three large paper bags to hold it. When it finally was handed to her, I thought we'd finally get our order. But no, she then wanted to talk to the manager. That process took another five minutes as the manager came and went several times, finally handing her what looked like gift certificates of some kind. If I hadn't already paid for me food I'd have driven away long before this happened.
I get that there will be orders that have problems, or customers that are hard to please, but you know what you do? You ask them to pull over out of line and you deal with them one on one. You do NOT let them paralyze your entire drive through operation and anger all the other customers. It was ridiculous that the manager dealing with this didn't ask her to pull out of line. That is literally why those parking spots exist at all McDonald's drive throughs.
Adding McInsult to McInjury, my ice cream cone was so melted by the time I was able to eat it, it was a messy dairy disaster. I will never order from this...
