I've tried fried pickles from so many places in the Midwest, and these just might be the best so far. They use bread & butter chips, which I love, and it's the first time I've had fried pickles with that kind of batter. They were so good! Crispy and crunchy. The drinks are also very reasonably priced. Would absolutely love to go back there if we're in the area again.

Wait time for food is extremely long, prices for food are expensive for what is served. Soda lacks carbonation. Food portions are small but this place has extremely great potential. The portions prices and wait time need attention, the estaurant I understand is brand new, but these are things that can be adjusted to help business.

We were in town to catch-up with an old friend. He’d visited Route 66 Roadhhouse a couple times before and thought it’d be a nice place for a casual lunch. The restaurant, bright and casual as expected, had the historic Route 66 décor and featured dining tables on two levels. We were seated on the upper level. Our lovely server gave us space and time as we’re chatting quite a bit with one another and didn’t order right away except for drinks and appetizers which came quickly. Cold ice teas and beer went well with fried pickles and cheese curds! When we finally ordered, it was burgers all around with choice of fixings and fresh hand-cut fries, well-seasoned and hot. The burgers were 1/3 lb, cooked to order - medium and juicy. We later found that the restaurant sourced their organic meat locally and were exclusively Angus!

Because the burger was so good, we ordered one to take home. But as we tend to do when visiting with long-time-no-see friends, we talked and talked and finally when we were paying the check, we were reminded of the takeout. But we had to wait a few more minutes because the chef decided to make us a new burger to replace the one already made as it’d be fresh and hot! The new owner obviously cares about good food and the chef clearly guards his reputation! If we lived in town, this place would be our go-to for meals out with or without friends. We encourage everyone to give this place a try; we certainly...

I know this place is somewhat new as of this review and still finding their path, so I'll give some grace. We went here for breakfast. (I -think- they had just started offering breakfast the week before). We were seated relatively promptly, but it took longer than expected to have our order taken. Then, it took quite a while to receive our food. Our orders (x2) were simple -- both of us ordered eggs, sausage/bacon, and hashbrowns. Unfortunately, the food quality/prep was not very good. The egg whites were undercooked and runny (were supposed to be over-easy), and I had sausage links that were undercooked and partially raw on the inside. So, not a great experience in terms of food. I know some will ask "why didn't you say something to the server" -- we had already waited close to 25-30 minutes just to get our food, we were really just ready to be done and gone vs waiting longer to have the food re-done. The atmosphere is touristy (as the name implies - Route 66 themed), but nice. May try again another time, but going to give it some time before we go again...

Can't say I would return to this restaurant went for lunch with a friend he had a cheeseburger they didn't even melt the cheese on the burger they slapped a piece of cheese on after the burger was already cooked I had a chicken breast sandwich if that's what you call it the breast was so tiny there was more bread than chicken I think this breast came from a baby chicken fries came with our sandwich they pre-salted the fries and neither one of us could eat very many of them because they were so so salty the waitress did Apologize and said they could remake us some more fries but we declined did not want to have to sit there longer and wait for food plus we had already ate our sandwiches and yes as others have stated the prices were a bit expensive for the small amount we got so the waitress did Apologize that we were not happy and we understand it was not her fault she didn't do the cooking so their cook does need to be...
