Warm and welcoming, cool and creative, Cup and Scone has something for everyone. Cup and Scone is a hidden gem in the quaint town of Pontiac IL, just off Old Rout 66. The ambiance is a mashup of modern-day bistro with old English elements, including a life-size suit of armor. The staff: Rachel and Ale were warm and welcoming, helpful and patient as we asked multiple questions about the menu before settling on our selections. Food: We had the Panini platter. The panini paired well with the micro-green, apple, and cucumber salad. The homemade yogurt was delicious, as were the mini- muffins and scones (of which we tried a variety). Coffee and Tea: The nitro cold brew was smooth and well balanced. This blend, with caramel notes, was fantastic for the coffee coniseur as well as the dabbler. We learned they use 5 different roasts to create a unique blend for every batch. The home-brewed chai was spicy and sweet, floral and creamy with a unique ingredient reminiscent of orange bitters that sets it apart from the run-of-the-mill chai. The Stone Cold, Chai blended with ice cream, was subtle, sweet, and creamy; perfect on a hot day.

Stopped by after being attracted to the big coffee sign out front. Was immediately impressed by the design and layout of the place. Loved the creativity of the drinks' names and was delightfully impressed with everything that came after. I tried a Caramel War Horse and my neice had a Forbidden Fruit Smoothie. Everything was delicious and the presentation of my latte topped my whole experience. I loved that they made a point to show us their beautiful creation! The whole experience just made my day! Can't wait until the next time I can visit!

OMG, I was so excited to see that they offer brunch plates now. We've stopped here in the past, and it was delicious. I didn't think it could get any better. They proved me wrong. The beef bacon and cheddar panini plate was probably one of my all-time favorite meals to date. The owners are amazing and super knowledgeable on gluten-free. The atmosphere is very welcoming and warm. If you have celiac disease, or even if you don't, this is the place to eat. You won't be disappointed.

False advertisement. Clearly on the display case showed the price for a quiche. When I was wrung up by the indifferent employee, he stated a higher price. I inquired about it. It showed a higher amount than what was shown plus I asked them the price before they rang it up and they said the same amount. My issue was not so much the higher price which should have been shown bc that is truly false advertisement, but the Attitude and how was handled. He told me "he doesn't have everything on the menu memorized". Wow! (Well, I'll be sure to not recommend that establiment.) I told him they should have honored the advertised price. But no. He kept going on and on and I just asked him to drop it. We just wanted our coffee with cream and leave that place, stat. Never again. Plus there were two other ladies there that said and did nothing. I agree with that other reviewer that they do not care bc they do not care and do it with a sarcastic attitude. I also think if they increase prices, it should be adjusted. Everyone else in that town is wonderful but we won't be back there and I make travel and food recommendations to a larger audience so they'll be off my list. They need attitude adjustment &...

I love that Pontiac has a quaint little coffee shop. It's a great place to work while I'm visiting, as well as a solid cup of coffee.

The last time I was there, an aroma was wafting through the place. Come to find out they were baking coffee cake for distribution to Bloomington. I was fortunate enough to be able to purchase a piece and let me tell ya. If you catch them at baking time and you can snag a piece of this, you won't regret it.

The only bad thing I can say about the shop, is that on occasion, I've had a few shots of espresso, and it's been screaming hot, but that's an easy temp adjustment. Other than that, the service is great! The coffee, whether you get drip or a latte, great! And the scones and coffee...
