I have always loved Jalapenos. Even when they mess up my food. I loved them because people make mistakes, i make mistakes. It happens. But, todays experience made me never want to visit there again. I just left there it is currently 3:09pm. I ordered what i always ordered. When i walked in they werw not very busy. I sat down and the bartender approached me. I automatically new this would not end great because of the attitude she had. When i recieved my family sise order. I was given two cups of sauce and one sour cream. I askes for more and was told i had to pay for it. I said i would oat but asked if this was something newly implemented because i have never had to pay before. She stated (after rolling her eyes at me) that she has worked there for five years and thats the way its always been. I said nope, ive never had to before and thats even when i was serviced by the very same bartender. She said that was not true, i let it go and asked for my receipt. She said " you should have told me you want a receipt before i close out the order. I cant give you one". I said typically i am asked if i want my receipt. I need these for business related purposes could you please give me a receipt. She hands me a carry out menu and said that is all she can give me, it shows the price. I said I need Receipt a copy of your menu doesnt do me any good. All the while she is rolling her eyes, huffing, slamming stuff. I told her there was no need for her to be rude. A customer has a right to ask for a receipt. She says there is no manager to give me one. Trying to avoid showdown, i left it alone and just left. About 2 mile down the road i realized she charged me for the sauces but did not give them to me. We turned back, i asked my husband to go in and get it tp avoid a conflict. Well she was equally as rude to my husband and to top it off she now accuses us of trying to steal sauces because "she knows for a fact she gave it to me because i walked out of there with two bags" he reminded her that the second bag had the two jarittos i purchased " she still insisted we were being dishonest but snatched the sauce bag from my husband threw it in the trash and gave him another bag of sauces. Now i wont be unfair and not say what i did. When he came outside and told me what happened. I walked right informed her that i didnt need to steal $2.65 worth of sauces, i threw $3 on the counter and left and i do not plan on going back. This chick was seriously on something. I have never had such a horrible experience there before but i wont spend my money anywhere i am...
Read moreHow to begin. My boyfriend has lived in the White Lake area most of his life and this area is new to me. We have tried a number of restaurants in the area but none really hit the spot like going to the my fav near the Ambassador Bridge area downtown. So one day I went on google and searched for a Mexican restaurant nearer us. We tried a few but never went back:Mojave, Mexico Linda to name a few. Then, Jalapeños showed up in my search. Where have they been all our life!!!!! My BF had never heard of the place but the reviews were great and we decided to give them a try. The chips come with three different salsas, all of which are amazing: red, green and a fire roasted. All house made and served in bottle sized containers! The food is fresh and is delish. The only item I would alter is the size of the fajita. I find this at most restaurants though. Otherwise everything else has been on point. Plus, feel free to order what you want made. I love cheese and add it to everything. I like burritos with Barbacoa or Carnitas, no beans. Their chicken is moist and flavorful too! On occasion I may have ground beef but here I really enjoy their shredded chicken most. The shredded meats are amazing. Slow cooked with yummy seasonings. They will make what you want. If you have never ordered Queso Fundito please try it, a cheese dip for your chips or pour it over your Burrito or enchilada…..If you don’t like jalapeños let them know we always have those held. Heck, this would be great on top of a shingle it is so yummy. LOL It has chorizo, a Mexican sausage in it. If you have never had this sausage you have been missing out! ;) If you have never had Fundito, well go for it!!!! It may rock your world? Every establishment has their own twist but, if you are a cheese lover any cheese spiced up for chips is usually good, right? LOL A really delicious appetizer that would easily serve four. This is a family run business. Staff is very kind. The establishment is laid back not full of a bunch of unnecessary pomp and circumstance. It is decorated cutely, has tables and a few booths, has a small bar area, is not overly large, is very clean. They decorate for every holiday! Perfect for solo, couples and very often large friend/family seatings! Service is typically amazing and rarely takes too long. For some reason the vibe makes us feel happy, chill. My family loves their margaritas. Say they...
Read moreThe wait staff is rude as heck, I purchased a nacho to share with the staff at work. Someone had already dug in before I noticed that it looked old. I called the manager and informed him, he told me to bring it back. They acted as if it was my fault and said I should've checked it before I left. They made me another one (the waitress acted as if she was paying for it. I had a pocket full of money, so it's not like I wanted something for nothing. Really didn't wanna take it back, but I get tired if giving passes and I thought that they would've wanted to know.) Was I in for a surprise. I really wanted to smack the server, but that's not my character. I mean she really had a smart mouth after me and the manager had resolved the issue. Not the killer part is after I spoke to the manager about her attitude, he just nodded at her. I still tipped her just to let them know. I shared the conversation with two of my co-workers and they too had said "The manager is alright, it's the servers" My thing is what type a person is the manager that allow the employees to be not only rude but disrespectful. Obviously this is something that they are allowed to do. Guess what I ate a few bits out of the nacho before I got sick to my stomach. If I'm not better tomorrow and I go to urgent care and find out that it was on purpose. They didn't even know that I am a faithful contributor for. I didn't take pics of the nacho bc I didn't expect it to be such a...
