Sydnei's Grill — Restaurant in Pontotoc

I had supper at Sydneis tonight, January 24th 2019. My previous experiences at the restaurant have been great. Tonight our server was great. However the food is where the complements end...I ordered the “jacked up Mac n cheese” which is supposed to have crawfish, creole cream sauce, tomatoes and mushrooms over cavatappi pasta. I received my dish WITHOUT crawfish. Once I told our server the issue, I did state “I’m still eating this because it tastes fine, I’m just letting you know there’s no crawfish in the dish. The kitchen needs to know” She returned telling me that the kitchen said to her that “the crawfish is so finely chopped in the sauce that you can’t see it”......ummmm WHAT lol. Crawfish can be tasted as well and there were absolutely no crawfish in that dish. I basically paid $14 for a bowl of Mac n cheese with some mushrooms (still tasted good, but not $14 good) I’ve worked in restaurants for years. It was not our servers fault. However I definitely fault the kitchen for not doing anything to fix a dish that was clearly not correct. I probably will not be back for dinner, hopefully there’s a different kitchen...

We called to place an order and immediately were impressed with the customer service. We were only there for about 10 minutes to pick up food but Ms. Pam was a delight. She’s the kind of person that makes you smile regardless of how your day is going. My boyfriend went to the buffet and I ordered off the menu. When we went to get his plate there was another lady, not sure what her name was, and she was also super nice and helpful. I was so excited to try the food considering how wonderful the people are here. I was not disappointed. The food was fantastic. They had chocolate breaded pudding and it was AMAZING. This place has southern charm and is so welcoming. I don’t live around here but if I’m ever close I will definitely come back. Thank y’all for such a great meal and for brightening my day with...

My parents and I stopped in between lunch and dinner to visit with each other for a little while. Dad had the shrimp basket with onion rings and coleslaw and was very impressed. Mother's club sandwich was so large that she could only eat about half of it. And my chicken tenders basket was amazing the french fries were just perfect crispy on the outside soft on the inside hot perfectly salted and so delicious. The tenders themselves were extra crunchy and maybe just a little dry but so delicious and huge portions. The salad bar was amazing and well appointed with lots of options. The honey homemade honey mustard dressing was spot-on probably the best of ever had. Service was amazing even at a slow period of the afternoon. We were well taken care of from arrival...
