Called to ask if they could make a black forest cake for my daughter's birthday. I was told yes. Because of the 4.7 rating I placed my order. Clearly they had no idea how to make it. A black forest cake is supposed to be a multi-layered cake with the layers soaked in cherry syrup and Kirsch. I knew I wouldn't get the kirsch, which was fine, but everything about this cake was wrong! A black forest cake is supposed to be iced with whipped cream and have at least 3 layers with a nice amount of cherries in between each layer. What I received was a dry 2 layer cake covered with thick, nasty icing that tasted like it came from the supermarket and a not even a handful of cherries in the middle with more sweet icing that shouldn't have even been there. I expected honesty when I asked about the cake. What I received was a huge disappointment and a tooth ache! Clearly they just wanted the sale and decided to make whatever the heck they wanted. I wouldn't have been upset if they told me it wasn't in their wheelhouse, and may have even stopped in for cupcakes at some point in the future, but after this experience, I will not return. Save your money, go...

Their cakes and cupcakes are delicious. My issue was when i ordered a cake and asked for an specific filling. Nicki okeyed my order. Next thing i know the filling was not what i ordered. When i sent an e-mail to Nicki she stated that she couldn’t do it how i asked and that for next order she would keep it in mind. Cake ended up in the trash. Nobody liked it. My cake was not free, i paid with my hard earned money for her to come up with that kind of disrespectful response. Never ordering again.

I did explain to you what i wanted. I never said cherry flavor. I said did not want cherry pieces. It is not right for you to make up excuses and say there was a miscommunication on both ends when my message was clear. If you had doubts, then explain what you are doing with my order that i am paying for. You can’t just add whatever you want to an specific order. At least ask the customer if they want what you decided to do. A birthday is a special occasion that only happens once a year. And no, i dont want future discount. Im not ordering again...

We ordered from Smallcakes Savannah Square for a joint celebration my nephew’s 10th birthday and my mom’s 66th, and everything was a hit!

We had a Fortnite-themed cake that was not only incredibly creative and on-theme, but also delicious and moist my nephew absolutely loved it. The macarons were beautiful and full of flavor. I highly recommend the cookies & cream and strawberry lemonade those were standout favorites!

And the Savannah-inspired floral cupcakes were beyond stunning. My mom adored the design, and every flavor, lemon, strawberry, red velvet, and carrot, was fresh and full of flavor.

Although the ordering process started off a little rocky, Lani was transparent, thoughtful, and made sure everything was just right. She even sent photos and care instructions before pickup, which we really appreciated.

If we’re ever back in town, we’ll definitely order again. Highly recommend this bakery for beautiful, creative, and delicious treats!
