Terrible service from start to finish! The best part of the night was the waitlist on yelp. That's pretty smart!
Outside decor was plain, you can't really tell it's a restaurant.
Inside decor looks like a regular bar type place. I don't like the seating setup. The design could have a better flow. Not kid friendly in residential area with plenty of kids. Not too smart!
Food: starters we had chips and salsa. The chips are seasoned apparently which makes no sense and came out dripping oil. I'm not sure what they thought when they allowed this to leave the kitchen.
Tacos: well we had zero tacos because our server left us sitting alone for 15+ minutes after we had water. This was sad!
No manager watching the floor to make sure every table is being serviced. That could have been a quick fix. Instead it was a crucial error which causes a loss of a customer who frequently eats tacos 3-4x a week. I wanted to try this place, but they failed miserably.
I don't think I'm sold on a concept to change or alter Tacos. Tacos are simple ingredients, marinated meats, and fresh corn tortillas. That's it! Savannah has been the worst city I've been to when it comes to Mexican cuisine. I guess this place will join that list as well.
If you're looking for a great floor manager let me know, I'd be delighted to talk compensation and marketing.
I did in fact speak to one of the owners. I'm glad he wanted to get a better idea of the experience so he can see how his business is being ran. If i was in his shoes, I would have asked the customer to come back first, so we can make their experience an unforgettable one. But hey, that's just how i would have handled it. He did tell me to have a nice weekend though. What a nice touch. I’ll share my story with the news as well.
Tacos are simple, stop complicating...
Read moreI'm not sure what the vibe is 🤷🏻♂️😂, why does everything take so long and what's up with that taste??? 🤨🤨🤨 What I ordered: Queso Blanco$5 Full Order Chicken Nachos$14 Full Order Pork Nachos$14 The bartender greeted me, but it took about 15 minutes to find out if I could be seated or if there was a wait. Once we were directed to our table, I was able to look past it. We got our drinks and some Queso. That order took a little longer than usual to arrive. As we waited, the sounds of someone's personal Spotify Playlist serenaded us with a slew of random songs. From country to house to pop, to one Latino song, to rock, to the 80s, to R&B... etc... etc... this made me look around to try and understand the vibe of this place (i still don't know lol). As I continued to look at the menu to decide what to eat, I noticed they have several pictures that are useful, but the photos could be better. No lie, one of the images makes the protein look like the aftermath of consuming meals, while the quesadilla images look like a school cafeteria dish. We decided on Nachos with the possibility of ordering dessert. You'd think it'd be quick to arrive, but it wasn't. They both had a lot of lettuce and very little tomato, protein, cheese, sour cream, and everything else that wasn't lettuce or tortilla chip. The flavor was also poor, being bland with an odd aftertaste. We decided not to risk dessert and asked for the check because we had been there for over an hour due to slow service. La pregunta que me hago hoy es... would I come...
Read moreHonestly? I was being super judgemental and really didn't expect much from this place. We made a Costco run and were looking for something quick and easy. Was not expecting much at all when we walked in. HOWEVER we were legit blown away by both the food and the service. Jennifer was our bartender. It was in the middle of shift change after a busy AM shift but she still managed to make us feel attended to on top of getting into her shift. She seems to make this a habit because she could remember everyone and their order when they walked up to the bar, including the large like 20 person group sitting at a table. She was able to to make drinks while keeping up with conversations with regulars and also rembering a regulars order when they sat down. She also stayed lovely and jovial through out the stress and chaos, and we all know that's hard to do. Legit impressed. The food was effing fire. My judgemental streak comes in because I was honestly expecting something mediocre. I was wrong. It's so obvious they make most if not all in house. I had three tacos and my husband had a quesadilla. We got chips and salsa as an app. The chips had something on it that was so tasty. I only wish there was more! My tacos were all different. But the flavors were so incredible. Such flavor and really balanced. You honestly got a little of all you were eating. With so many popular but garbage restaurants in Savannah proper, it'd worth the trip out to Pooler to see...
