My dogs are 2 years old and I have NEVER EVER seen fleas on them. They’re inside dogs and it’s a pandemic so I don’t take them places and they don’t interact with other dogs. Now imagine my surprise I decided to try this place out for the first time and see FLEAS covering my babies. That was just the icing on the cake. New customers have to pay half upfront (nonrefundable) and you have to give some stranger your credit number over the phone if you can’t come in to prepay. I’ve never pre-paid grooming before. But whatever, I got over that….then we go in for the actual groom and it’s just confusion on the length of the cut, using diagrams that are outdated and don’t adequately represent the cut the dogs get (a really bad flip book). Lastly, when I picked up my dogs their faces were dirty and I mentioned it multiple times just to get an indifferent “sure I’ll put that in the notes” nothing to even compensate for that. Not to mention the cut was subpar with bald batches. But all of that doesn’t even matter to me. What matters is these nasty fleas are biting my dogs AND ME. Planning on taking them somewhere else for a medicated bath. If someone from this organization wants to reach out to me, you have my name and contact details. Overall I was not impressed, most things I wouldn’t just said whatever to but the fleas are a strike. Once again my dogs don’t interact with other dogs. They are small lapdogs that don’t run in the wild. Etc. I’ve never seen fleas on them and this entire experience has me really messed up. We just moved from NC and it has been hard for me to find someone to trust my dogs with and now I don’t think I’ll send them to anyone new ever again. Also, I’d like to mention the rough treatment to get my excited dogs out of the cage. The girl at the counter just botched that and was holding my dog back...
Read moreI think the word disappointed is an understatement. The first time I tried booking an appointment, someone contacted me via text and confirmed my appointment. An hour later, someone called back to say that they had accidentally overbooked and if we could reschedule for the following Saturday. These things happen, so I was understanding and rescheduled. I get there today and they don't have my appointment scheduled! I really didn't understand how you screw up not once, but twice after the customer has given you an opportunity to rectify the situation. They managed to "squeeze" my dog in. I requested a full groom because my dog really needed a bath and haircut. Despite the initial experience, I still had high hopes of picking up my dog with a nice haircut. Only to return and he looks the same way he did when I dropped him off, just fluffier. I'm then met with excuses as to why they were only able to do a mini groom for him. There was no courtesy call to let me know that the services I requested could not be rendered, they just did the bare minimum....things I could have done at home. A little communication goes a long way. His tail was weirdly cut and tangled. I had to thoroughly comb him when I got home.
Ultimately here's what happened....someone forgot to book my appointment. When I showed up, they agreed to take me so they wouldn't have to take accountability for screwing up the appointment again. Then made excuses not to provide the full service because they were booked and didn't have time. This was our first and LAST visit but I hope others have a much...
Read moreI never write reviews but I felt the need to after my horrible experience. After my go-to groomer moved out of state, I've been looking for new groomer for my golden retriever and decided to give Woof Gang Bakery in Pooler a try. I made an appointment for a full groom and the appointment was for November 7th which was about a month or more out. When the time came and I arrived for my appointment, the girl behind the computer said that somebody made a mistake with scheduling and that they wouldn't be able to see my dog that day. Although I was understandably frustrated, I stood there while she looked through the computer to find another day that I could come in for an appointment. She finally said she wouldn't be able to get him in until November 30th, which was over 3 weeks away. Keep in mind that I was a brand new customer and this was my very first experience with Woof Gang Bakery. I explained to her that I made this appointment over a month out and even received the reminder texts a few days prior and that she should be able to somehow accommodate me. She basically just shrugged and said sorry but the next appointment wouldn't be until over 3 weeks away. I told her to just forget it and I walked out. I'm glad I drove all the way out from Richmond Hill with my dog for an appointment I made a month prior just to put my dog back in the car and drive back home. I sat in the car and made an appointment with PetSmart down the street and they were able to get me an appointment 2 days later. I will NEVER step foot in a Woof Gang...
