Nothing quite prepares you for the sheer, unadulterated chaos that is Zaxby's drive thru. It's less a well-oiled machine and more a Rube Goldberg contraption designed by a particularly disgruntled squirrel.
You pull into the drive-thru, hopeful for a quick chicken fix, and within minutes, you're wondering if you've accidentally entered a time warp. The line stretches to the horizon, each car inching forward like a glacier in molasses. When you finally do get to the order box, it's less a cheerful greeting and more a mumbled incantation that leaves you questioning if they even heard you.
Then comes the real fun: the order roulette. You distinctly asked for extra Zax sauce, maybe even a large sweet tea to quench that drive-thru-induced thirst. But when you pull up to the window, what do you get? A bag of cold fries and a baffled look from an employee who, let's be honest, probably got rejected from Walmart for being too enthusiastic. I'm talking about the kind of person who makes you wonder if they've ever seen a chicken finger before, let alone assembled an order. You hold up your receipt, they stare at it like it's written in ancient hieroglyphs, and then they disappear into the back, presumably to consult the oracle of forgotten fryers.
The management, bless their hearts, are nowhere to be found. They're like elusive cryptids, whispered about but never actually seen. You imagine them in a back room, perhaps engaged in a spirited game of tic-tac-toe, completely oblivious to the burgeoning rebellion in the drive-thru. It's a miracle any food actually makes it out of the kitchen, let alone to the right customer. It's truly a masterclass in how not to run a fast-food establishment.
Ever had a drive-thru experience so bad it made you consider packing a survival kit for your next...
Read moreBy far the nicest fast food staff I have ever came across. I just got off from a 12 hour shift had the LONGEST day. I was tired and so hungry but knew I was too tired to cook. I never really eat zaxbys but tonight it sounded good. I looked up zaxbys on my gps and saw it was 6 minutes away so I figured why not, not realizing it was 9:58 pm and they close at 10. The typical fast food restaurant would have ignored me or told me they were closed. I came through the drive thru didn’t hear anything so I started to pull off. Omg one of the employees came to the door telling me he was trying to get to me and that I could come back around and order something to eat. He was so nice to me man, very patient, had excellent customer service. The cook even came to talk to me because he was confused by my order and said he wanted to make sure he had it right for me to enjoy. I’m writing this because the customer service really warmed my heart man I was having a real blah day and that short interaction really did it for me. I love ppl who love helping ppl. Ppl with good vibes and positives attitudes. Really wish more places had this type of customer service. And to really put the icing on the cake my food was soooo good and fresh....
Read moreI ordered a Cobb salad, Cole slaw, and a 10 piece wimpy wing through mobile ordering. I went to the window to let someone know that I was there to pick up my order. After waiting for five additional minutes, I called to find out where my order was. A few minutes later, a young lady came out to hand me my order and she apologized for the delay. As she walked off, I checked my order and was disappointed that my wings were cold. I called back and let an associate know that my food was cold. Shortly after, another associate came out, and I informed her that my food was cold. This particular young lady (Jazman Walker) apologized for any inconveniences I've experienced during my visit. Jazman soon came back with FRESH wings and some cookies. Jazman's customer service is top tier and she should not be looked over. Zaxby's did a wonderful deed by hiring Jazman. She is not only a beautiful person, she also has an even more beautiful soul!! I will definitely be returning to Zaxby's on 16 in Pooler, GA. As you can see, I am enjoying my food, especially the wings. Lol. Happy holidays and...
