I have been eating at Raising Cane's for a long time. The staff is always great along with quality of food. On 2/13/2023 I wanted Cane's and I received a drastic different experience for the good. I have never seen employees standing outside to take my order. I have always ordered through the drive through speaker, but on this visit I saw two employees waiting to greet me when I pulled up. As I pulled up thy were laughing and smiling. As soon as I pulled up I was asked how my night was going and was told that they were happy that I was having a great night then proceeded to take my order. There was no one else in line so the other employees came over and said thank you for coming to Cane's. That caught my attention quick. I told them it is my favorite chicken spot. They both said that is awesome because they love Cane's as well. Since no one was in line behind me we talked for maybe a minute. It was such a great experience to see young employees so happy and smiling at work. Amaya and Avery were so professional and friendly. They have the best smiles and really have great customer service skills. They really know how to make a customer feel that Cane's is great not only for the food, but with how Cane's values their customers. When employees support the company they work for and follow the company's vision statement then you know that the business is a good business. Cane's competitor across the street are always polite as well, but they only smile when they take the order not as you are pulling up and the smile goes away when they are done taking the order. It is rehearsed and fake to me, but not at Cane's. Amaya and Avery was truly genuine because they were smiling before I even pulled up and they were still smiling when I drove up to the window after giving them my order. Amaya and Avery truly gave me the best experience that I have had and seen with any restaurant. I will probably find myself eating at Cane's more than I should because of Amaya and Avery. They are truly amazing and...
Read moreI had never been here before, but heard good things. Unfortunately I did not share the experience.
Everything was undercooked and instead of "golden brown", it was all yellow like Coldplay. Speaking of Coldplay, the slaw was warm and BLAND. Where was the flavor? We turned the cups over to try to let the juice soak, but still nothing!
The "toast" was limp, soggy, salty bread. The "chicken strips" were slightly larger than chicken nuggets, covered in wispy breading, and had very little flavor other than "salty". The sauce was ok, but it reminds me of Food Lion's brand of campfire sauce. I'd rather have any other southwestern sauce from like, Red Robin or Outback. The fries are generic crinkle cut from Sysco - no points.
They also gave us a regular sweet tea instead of a large half/half, and after having them try to hand me the wrong drinks, look three times, then ask my straight once and still getting it wrong, I was done.
They were very friendly, however, and even though they were wrong on the drink, the service was done well. It also seemed clean. Extra point.
I don't know why this place gets the clout it does, but we're going to the Chik-fil-a of KFC at Yoder Plaza for chicken. None of these Yorktown places have decent food - the Burger King, Chik-Fil-A, and Arby's are "the bad one", which is unfortunate because you'd expect better for what the area claims to be. I might try it again, but I don't really know why I should. This is all they serve and none of it was good. Maybe at another location.
The fact that this store was advertising the owner as some sort of "mogul" was weird, as well. Todd Graves makes bad chicken, I don't care that he's...
Read moreIs it unique? Yes. It is worth all the hype? No. Is it good? Yes. Is it better than Chick-fil-A? Definitely not. This was my first time going, and I was excited to see what it was all about. You could certainly tell that they did their best to copy Chick-fil-A’s best-in-the-world drive through, but honestly, it took a lot longer than I expected for a restaurant that serves literally one thing. Okay, like five things, fine. Tenders, toast, fries, coleslaw, cane sauce. The chicken was good, but can’t really compare to Chick-fil-A, due to its lack of flavor. The coleslaw wasn’t special, it was just fine. The cane sauce is very good, but I wouldn’t say addicting. Crinkle cut fries I suppose were slightly better than the ones we had in middle school. That’s really all to note. The staff was great, and I really appreciated that. I love their branding, and the interior is very nice and unique as well, it’s fun! I am curious as to why there’s a dog on their roof. I love dogs, so I’m all for it, I just don’t get it. Going through the drive through, I was behind one person, and it took me about ten minutes to get my food. I was getting almost impatient near the end of that ten minutes, but my excitement for new food and remembrance that it was still fast, helped. But I would dare to say it was below the average drive through time, even despite their seemingly advanced system. I would go again if other people wanted to go, but I’m not sure I’ll choose it. I can get just as much for much less at many other places, and often I can get it...
