My boyfriend and I stopped at this location last night around eight p.m. There were two cars ahead at that time. At least ten minutes had passed when the second car ahead moved to the drive-thru window. There being one car ahead of us, we heard and saw the horrible service provided by a Popeyes staff member. Almost ten minutes had passed until the car ahead of us was asked to order. During that waiting time, the employee working the drive-thru, did not have her headset muted. She was speaking loudly and using profanity while having a conversation with someone, other than the customer. Iām not sure if she was talking to another employee or if she was on the telephone, but her conversation was unprofessional, had nothing to do with the customer, and again, was coming through the drive-thru speaker, profanity and all.
Finally, it was our time to order and we sat in front of the drive-thru speaker for several minutes, hearing the employee talk unprofessionally through her unmuted headset. At one point the employee said āā¦take your shit⦠Iām about to come on...just leave me threeā¦ā, which indicated to me that she was speaking to someone inside the restaurant. Our order totaled $18.15 until my boyfriend ordered another drink. He attempted to order a sweet tea, but they didnāt have sweet tea, so he asked for an unsweet tea-no unsweet tea was available, either. He settled for a different beverage. After adding only a drink to our order, the total increased to $26.89. We proceeded to the drive-thru window and the employee asked, āwhat happened to the red pole, I told you to stop at the red pole.ā I looked behind us and saw a red pole, but the employee never told us to stop at the red pole. I verified that she did not instruct us to stop at the red pole by replaying a brief recorded clip of the ordering process, in case Popeyes was interested in the interaction.
We had wasted ample time, experienced the worst service/customer service I had encountered; moreover, we were not confident of the quality of the product sold at this location.
I hope employee re-training will take place. Perhaps, an unannounced, direct observation from the store manager, regional manager, or franchise owner would give an accurate portrayal of the...

I don't even have words to describe the experience we had here, but it's gotta be told. My family and I were on our way back home from a beautiful family vacation in Destin. We wanted to stop somewhere nice in Baton Rouge but time wasn't on our side as we had to return our rental. We crossed over the bridge and found the first set of fast food joints and the overwhelming pic was Popeyes over the burger spots all around. They were convinced Popeyes is better in Louisiana. Came in and right away something seemed off. They had a bunch of employees working but everyone seemed to be standing around. The inside was filthy. Trash overflowing. Dirty floors. Tables full of crumbs. I dont even want to say more about the bathroom situation. We didn't have time to pivot so we stuck it out.
Customer service was horrendous. The staff was rude minus one or two people. Mind you there was a lot of people behind the counter. My order took about 15 minutes to come out. Way after most of the fam started eating. People came in and turned right around after waiting to place their orders. The staff literally rolled their eyes when large groups walked in. They had no ice and no solutions to that problem. They did not give utensils, napkins, or condiments with any meals unless asked. When asking you would get an attitude. At some point, the staff started yelling at each other and cursing. A fight almost broke out. Mind you, I have very conservative parents and a 5 year old niece in my group. There were also elderly customers trying to enjoy their meals too. Pure ratchetness! When we were leaving they locked the doors so they could all take a smoke break! Can't make this stuff up.
If we didn't absolutely have to stop or had time to go somewhere else we would have. We tried to make the best of the situation but this place was one of the worst fast food experiences ever. Corporate needs to know about...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis Popeyes location has always been a problem spot. As long as I can remember going here (and I'm 35 and local). This particular trip was just yet another let down , as usual. It's a 80/20 chance you'll get to order and actually get your food. With my mom-drive thru - it's FINALLY our turn to place our order, about a 15-min wait to get to the speaker box. We get there and we can hear the mic is on and someone is talking, just not talking to us. My mom is trying to get their attention, but no one responds. We hear someone complaining and the words "I'm fixing to go home. Then mic went off" So, when no one takes our order, we figure we can make our order at the window, as most fast food places will allow us there's an issue at the order spot, well, not here. We wait another 20 min to get to the window (bc there's only 1 window at which you pay AND receive your food). The lady tells my mother we have to go back around to the box to order, we can't place our order at the window. And by this time, the line is longer so we're not going to go sit for another 30 min or more to hopefully get someone to take our order. My mom politely thanks them and we go somewhere else. Their food is really good as we all know, but service at this one location is THE WORST. I wasn't surprised about the service, but I WILL say, I was confused about not being able to place our order at the window being as it wasn't our fault no one took our order in the first place. āNoteā: the dine-in area is still closed; drive-thru only. I'm done trying to go here bc service is terrible and a waste of time. It's such a shame too, bc it's the only Popeyes in West Baton Rouge Parish and the food really IS good. This location desperately needs new management or a renewed commitment to their customers and actually deliver, at the very least,...
